It’s a combination flashlight and laser aiming module. The laser and light are offset to either side of the front sight because it was specifically designed to work with that rifle.
SSTF’s comment covers why the optic mount is fine. It’s made like that to give proper eye relief for that optic.
Dude, I’m checked out of this thread already. OP only made this post to parade around like a know-it-all douche and I’m not on board for giving them any more attention at this point.
This thread was made in good fun, as I had run across this picture being wildly misinterpreted by a bunch of people. I thought it would be fun to share under the assumption people subscribed to NCD for the most part would understand what’s happening.
My question is why it made you so mad that you decided to go on a downvote spree on a bunch of unrelated posts and comments of mine? Not like this place has account karma or anything, but it just seems like a strange reaction.
Have you ever met hardcore train enthusiasts, i.e. the I am unhealthily obsessed with trains types?
That is what this community is, but “defense” themed and far more unhinged … just look at this place’s banner.
