I think you need to actually read your bible. Take some time for introspection. Maybe check out some scholarship about it.

You’ll realise that the god you worship is exactly the immoral bloodthirsty monster you decry

It’s not “my” Bible, I’m not a Roman Catholic/part of one of its offshoots. But even the Bible has its own authors, who more often than not name themselves at the beginning of their books, and as such it can be disagreed with. There’s much nonsense in the Bible, even before the Romans added their Paulian stuff and switched it all up, but I have my own understanding and belief like everyone who takes things seriously does so how does it affect me? I do have a set of axioms, and I do believe they’re God’s message passed along to prophet Muhammad and through it to the rest of the world, and that’s the Qur’an.

The Western mind does not understand standing for something even in the absence of absolute evidence for its backing, just because it’s right, and the is-ought problem means that you will never derive morality from reality so this set of statements will never come from understanding the world better, it’s all about whether you stand for something or not (“thou shalt not kill”, “give the other cheek”, etc.). Besides “might makes right; nothing is true or false, there are only perspectives” the atheist/pagan/polytheist West doesn’t believe in anything, either in abundance (although that keeps them entertained and content and it does help to curb the worst examples of that “ideology” or when push comes to shove, and that’s been a problem for the world forever.

Anyway, my old man rant went a bit long, thanks for your time. 🙏

The Qur’an has the same fundamental problems that the bible has. That it’s based on Hebrew scripture and history.

The Abrahamic god is the very premise of do what I say, not what I do and might makes right. It is god who decides what is right.

Do not commit murder, unless I say so. Do not steal, unless I say so.

It’s easy to say the west doesn’t believe in anything. But society long predates any god.

There is a social contract that most who live in that society prescribe to and agree to follow to a greater or lesser extent. That’s what binds us as humans. Together we are greater than the sum of our parts. This is how we’ve thrived across our history and how we stand where we do today.

        No god(s) needed.

There’s no “what I do”, God created the whole universe and is outside of it, he’s not walking the world with us, lol. He’s looking from the outside like a man with an ant farm except he’s not a man. And no, the Qur’an is pretty well defined morally, of course it’s God who decides what’s right or wrong. You’ve been more than patient and open minded so I’m not gonna continue, I do thank you for your time and hey, maybe you’re right and there’s no need for belief in Europe, we’ll make do without it. I doubt it, but maybe. Take care! 👍

I hope you realise the truth some day.

There’s a lot to live for (even with the state of the world today) without need of the supernatural.

            All the best!
