And I just learned that I can’t.

I bet that felt great!
Screen protectors FIRST THING EVERY TIME. Case is much more optional. Get tempered glass, the plastic films are useless.
Scuffs and scratches in the glass never go away, and I don’t want to look at them for the next five years or however long I end up keeping my phone. If my screen protector becomes a mess, it’s an easy replacement.
If you ever put anything in the same pocket as your phone, it will eventually scuff the screen.
Last time I saw that movie was at a drive in. No joke.

Season one: Great premise!
Season Two: Same premise, but TWICE the danger!
Season three: I don’t know, robot ninjas or something?

Can’t be sure of that. There may have been some that you didn’t suspect were AI, so you didn’t bother investigating.
For the most part you’re right. I can often catch them just by noticing mistakes, but we never know how many REALLY good ones slipped through the cracks.

What was the occasion?5·11 days agoI’ve been in that exactly that same spot. Poor, but not poor enough. Getting by is a struggle, but it is possible, so you keep going, but there’s never anything left over, so you’re never really getting anywhere. It really can feel like you are treading water in the ocean.
Best of luck to you. I hope things go your way soon. Don’t give up!

Mother fucking Fetterman.
He’s local to me, and hearing about everything he did as mayor just made him sound like an awesome guy. Living in a foreclosed car dealership, seriously improved living conditions for the poor, hoodie and jeans, tattoos honoring people he never met, he just sounded like somebody I could relate with.
Well, then he had a stroke, joined the Senate and has been embarrassing himself and me ever since. 🤦🏻♂️

He gives off the vibes of a great family sitcom dad.

I was over at his house and he had to go take a shit or something, and I was trying to see what games he had on his computer. When he got back he asked what the hell I did because he now has to reboot, and we’re going to have to watch it do that for the next half hour. And penguins and hats.
That’s pretty much everything I ever needed to know about Linux.

What are some good movies targeted toward adults that kids can watch?12·13 days agoWhen my son first starting getting out of kids movies, he liked Indiana Jones and back to the future a lot. Ghostbusters went over well.
Also, Phineas and Ferb is great for every age. Old Simpsons are good too!
Rhynoplaz@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•People cognizant in the 1960's, 70's, 80's, or 90's, what was the perception of China?5·13 days agoIn the 90s, my dad and a lot of other guys in my area lost their machining jobs because the work was being done in China. My perception of China (only what I learned from people around me talking about it) was that it was a dirty place where everyone lived in squalor and worked in sweat shops for pennies a day.
Like the other commenter, you had me up until the last paragraph. They admitted they had a diagnosis which often comes with an inability to empathize. It gives me flashbacks of back when I was a kid and everybody convinced me I was a smart kid who was just lazy, when in reality, I was developing ADHD, and had no idea how to control my executive functions.
Take out the judgement at the end, and you’ve got yourself a solid, helpful response.
