Why would you use nuclear weapons on a country you wish to occupy? Either they are crazy, lying, or desperate. Or all three.

I read at as the missile is capable of containing a nuclear payload.

      Also more Russian posturing.

And to add to this - you can’t really tell what kind of payload a missile carries and where it will go precisely. This one hit 40km from EU border so Poland doing nothing in response was just hoping for the best.

The missile itself could have been intercepted if Ukraine had sufficient air defense - they shot down hypersonic missiles before but they’re no longer being supplied with Patriot systems / missiles.

Nuclear capable - meaning it’s large enough to carry that payload.

They’re probably using it so drones and anti-aircraft fire can’t stop it. It’s because Ukraine’s counter measures were a little too good.

Also they could be running out of smaller munitions in numbers and are trying to beef it up with what they have available

        Just a single missile…

Remember when the US dropped two nuclear bombs on japan to prove they had more than one?

Not saying anything is good, just saying it’s entirely possible they do not have any more of these that are functional.

Trump is talking about letting the US - Russia Nuclear treaty lapse. I guess it could be an attempt at intimidation.

I don’t think there is any chance of nuclear war, or even a nuclear strike against ukraine by russia. There is far too much to lose for russia if they turn to nukes. the wind pattern would spread fallout to russia and belarus.
