A significant many conservatives love Ai cause it’ll replace immigrants but a lot of us see the writing on the wall the tech is overhyped garbage that’ll crash soon in the next few years and cause the economy to go down with it, however, let’s say that Ai and robotics manage to reach a level of automation where they’re able to replace human workers, obviously this would have negative implications for people that want to migrate but it would also hurt the countries citizens since they will and probably are, going to be forced out of the earning a wage, leaving entire portions of society jobless I don’t know which scenario is worse a recession unlike anything we’ve seen or a society where most people are jobless either way conservatives are dooming their country and people just to “own” brown people it’s almost comedic

I’m not convinced as you are that US ruling class has that much collective solidarity with one another. As I see it, most are just seeking their own self-interest, which is leading to clashes because their interests are not aligning.

You can see this for example how there is a DRAM shortage because the AI companies are using too much of it, but then the DRAM companies also refuse to increase DRAM production because they are afraid the AI bubble will pop leaving them with a surplus that will drive down prices. The DRAM companies are not on board with the AI companies and their interests are conflicting. The AI companies also have more influence in the government right now because the US thinks it is in an “AI race,” and so even energy companies are being overlooked, so AI is getting more investments than energy causing energy to lag behind as well.

This to me doesn’t seem like a coherent plan by the bourgeoisie to work in class solidarity with one another towards the same goal. It seems to me like every individual big tech corporation is seeking to maximize their own profits independently of one another, which is leading to a disorganized mess without a coherent vision.

There’s enough of a collaboration between big tech companies like Oracle, Microsoft, NVIDIA, OpenAI etc. to call it a collective action. You don’t need unanimous consent from every capitalist.

Just because DRAM is one sector where they haven’t got a commitment, doesn’t mean they aren’t going to try automate away office work and charge rent to businesses.
