I don’t know for sure it’s related, but considering how easily and often US congress bipartisanship shows up when it comes to military funding while seemingly having so much trouble showing up otherwise, it would fit.

Blowback Season 3 goes into how the libshits couldnt get fuckall passed domestically during the truman administration so they pivoted to military buildup which was bipartisan to stimulate the stagnating economy and make it look like they were doing something.
