A well-known local musician was walking his dogs Saturday morning when he was hit and killed by an SUV on Route 138 in Hopkinton, Rhode Island, and the driver involved — who has a lengthy criminal history — has been arrested.

Because driving is treated like some sort of fundamental human right.
