My condolences to all the people who have lost their friends, family and home.

In case you don’t know what happened, on 26/11 a bit before 3pm, a fire broke out in Wang Fuk Court, a housing estate located in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong. The buildings were under renovation with a lot of nets and scaffolding surrounding them, so the fire spread very quickly, and burned from outside in. It burned for a WHOLE DAY, and at the time of me writing this, it’s still burning.

There are at least 83 dead, 77 injuries and 200+ people still missing. All these people were innocent, and I am getting secondhand sadness from all the people still alive.

Now onto the mad part (this post is a mess). Capitalism screws us all over again. According to investigations, the construction company used some very flammable materials for a cheaper cost in the renovation, the net may not be up to standard, and (speculation) the fire is probably started by some dumb construction worker’s cigarette butt. Bro’s guilt must be off the roof right now.

The entire city is now supporting these residents. People are donating materials for all of them who have just lost their homes. The government is providing funds (actually, directly useful) to help them. At least some humanity can still be seen within us in the god awful system.
