If I follow these links from Summit correctly I’m banned from news@lemmy.world & politicalmemes@lemmy.world

I don’t know why, I’m usually a pretty cool uncontroversial dude.

Any way to find out how I got banned? Or at least verify it’s legit?

    I got the same problem. A while ago I made a dumb mistake that was misinterpreted and a mod went crazy and banned me from every community with which I ever interacted with this account. Since then, the ban, which was supposed to end back in August, is still in effect in all those communities. I found this out thanks to the Summit app, like yourself.

    I had to manually unban myself from the communities that I created and/or moderate. And now I have to message every mod for every community I’m banned and do some kind of walk of shame to beg them all to unban me because of an overzealous mod.

    I am very upset about this. I didn’t deserve my account to get screwed up like this. I wanted to leave Lemmy to use Piefed instead and I’m stuck.

      Hmm, lemmy isn’t indicating you’re banned from pcgaming@lemmy.ca. I just tried banning and then unbanning you from that community, can you see if that helped?

          K I’ve done the same on montreal, canadapolitics, privacy and buycanadian. Libreculture + fucktheusa my search didn’t come up with a post of yours I could do it on. Mensliberation you still have an active community ban so I’ve left that.
