People in the US and the rest of the world have protested against Gazanand Uighur genocide and it it’s having an effect. Where are the protests in China?

Many things can be true. There is a genocide of Uighurs and it is misrepresented in American media. But putting genocide in quotes is straight up denial.

Flatworm/Unruffled really falls into that anti-American trap where they start excusing other state’s imperialisms because they’re blinded by hatred.

It’s really interesting to see them take snapshots of these posts and complain/dogpile. A truly baffling cycle.

The person said that it is possible to believe both that China is authoritarian and the Uyghur genocide is overblown. The person never said that they believe that or that it was the case.

The Uyghur “genocide”, as they put it.

That’s some fucking mental gymnastics to avoid confronting the clear implications of what was said.
