Ok so I was curious to know if the trams predated the Soviet Union and yeah totally does and by quite some margin (1873).
That said I did find out there’s a palace YMCA… I know, I know… But still.

Incidentally both articles show that Czechia (now Republic, then Czechoslovakia) has a quite rich capitalist-industrial history; one might say they were in their prime, as a country, when the Soviets grabbed them up.
