People talk about the “dangers of AI” without keeping in mind that AI only has the power that humans grant it. So, could AI start a war? No, the humans stupid enough to rely on the AI system and start a war based on the information it provided would be the ones who did that.

Just what we need, more opinions from incoherent and semi literate people.
They used to be better. I had a lot of success when they were relatively new. However the culture around them has gotten worse and more toxic, and the companies have grown more abusive of customers. Just what I gather… I haven’t tried since 2019.
Tinder was okay for meeting people interested in actual relationships when it was newer. It seemed to turn into more of purely a shallow hookup site. I tried Bumble, and that worked, though it apparently is not as good as it used to be. Never tried Hinge or any of the others.
Thinking more about psychology helped me have success on the apps. Don’t be boring, start real conversations. I got some very good advice once from a friend, which was “if a girl is on tinder, she’s horny”. I was… oh. That makes sense. It helped me be less nervous. You could also say lonely or bored. In my experience it’s not hard to figure out if someone is after the same things as you are. I’ve never used them to just hookup, only find steady girlfriends. I did find some situations more like hookups, casual GFs or FWB though. A few dates fizzled. I’ve gotten together with about 15 women I met on Tinder/Bumble and 6 of them turned into steady relationships. I can’t say they were the most sane people I’ve ever met.
I know this dude who started a really half-ass “predator finder” website. It’s kinda suspicious. Oh, and then he started dating a 17 year old when he was 23.
Cheese
definitely fuck whoever told him about the concept of tariffs
The people who believe a kid in Africa made a working automobile from balloons and that boats are pulling whales from the water and cleaning off thousands of barnacles will be 75-80 then.
That was me. It was a typo. Sorry
Yes, I meant to say 60 or 65 like OP did. Funny thing is I’m about 50.
Sure… OP said over 60, but I think over 65-70 would be more accurate for people who don’t know about generative AI at all.
I haven’t really heard anyone over 65 or whatever espouse the dead internet theory. Could be a trend I don’t know about, I guess.
I’m almost that age, and am technically adept also. I’d say the “old people on Facebook” age is a good bit higher. I’m sure some people who are 65 or 70 understand what AI is too.
Have they? What I’ve seen is people over 50 60 (really 65) have zero idea that AI exists and consistently fall for obviously absurd Facebook posts.
Edit, I see where some of these responses came from - OP said over 60, and I meant to say over 60 too, not 50.
There are multiple American accents. I consider west coast and to some extent Midwest unaccented… New York or Boston, yeah, and southern drawl, yeah. Alabama is like a new England who drank lead for 120 years. But obviously thats just my perspective. It was hilarious to me to hear my Australian friend do an American accent from her perspective.
The first one sounds like Jamaican guy I know who lives in canada. Second, I don’t know. Third is just generic American accent, maybe Southwest or west coast.
I have no idea what time that is and I figure I will probably be sleeping
It was fairly common in the US decades ago.
