Eh, I’m over it. It was cool to see it again, but it really did not play nice with modern Macs.

Oh hell no. My heart isn’t ready.

I charged up my gen 2 shuffle very recently as well, but got the spicy pillow treatment instead. RIP to a real one!

Same thing happens to me, but only after my phone rotates from portrait to landscape and back. Doesn’t happen all the time; maybe 50-60% of rotations. Force closing the app and reopening fixes it for me.

And how much of that hypothetical $13 Trillion would be shared the poor, poor artists?

Aha, so that’s who was being referenced in their last email. For those interested that aren’t part of the newsletter group:
Hi friend,
We wanted to send a brief update directly to our early supporters.
Over the last few days, there have been some changes to Gander’s group of Strategic Advisors, and we took some time to reflect and gather our thoughts before sharing them with you.
As part of our initial fundraising from May to September of last year, two prospective investors did not complete their advisor agreements or investments by the original deadline, or within an extended timeframe.
Our equity crowdfunding campaign went live in October, and we recently offered them the same terms that every other investor had received through the campaign. When an agreement couldn’t be reached, we parted ways.
We’re grateful for all the advice and support that every single one of our advisors, past and present, has provided to us along this journey. Our focus today is exactly where it’s always been: building Gander with, and for, the Canadians who have shown up, believed in it, and helped make it real.
Today, we have Gander in the hands of hundreds of people who are posting, connecting, and testing the app. That number will continue to increase every week until everyone reading this email has been invited.
As always, thank you for being part of this with us. We’ll keep showing up, building with community, and getting Gander into the hands of more Canadians.
With gratitude,
Ben & The Gander Team
I don’t believe it’s federated, but there’s also the Hardcover App that posits itself as a Goodreads alternative.

A party spokesperson tells me 2,558 ballots were cast in this leadership review election. That’s a 95 per cent turnout.
This is the stat I haven’t seen anyone discussing here yet. Poilievre is overwhelmingly the modern Conservative’s ride or die.

Not to mention the Ontario PCs are having their party convention right now as well—meaning many members won’t attend in Calgary for the vote.

100% agree, but all of those things are apparently Conservative virtues, and the party is tripling down on their pick.

No doubt the schoolyard slogans are tiring. I also don’t think he has anything concrete to offer Canadians outside of being Trudeau’s heel.

Nah, he’s revitalized the party, brought in a new demographic of voters, and even gained the most seats the Conservatives have ever seen. Just cause he lost to Carney doesn’t automatically make him a bad party leader.
I think they’re counting on Carney to take on Trump, make some fatal mistake, and then swoop in whatever election comes next.

Looks like that magic well of social permission is about to dry up.

I mean it’d be hard to keep calling himself a philanthropist, if he went ahead with the deal.

On the other end of the spectrum are post descriptions that copy the entire article and you’re met with a giant wall of text. It’s about curation, folks!

Decertification of an aircraft by a national regulator like the FAA would make it unable to legally fly in that particular country.
Thousands of Quebec-based Bombardier’s business jets operate in the U.S., and its recently-divested CRJ passenger jets are operated by several regional American airlines.
So halt air travel and tourism in the US by both Canadians and Americans and force American airliners to buy brand new aircraft? Am I reading that correctly?

He’s worried he won’t be privy to the new hot and steamy locker room talk anymore ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

Hard agree. I tend to ignore posts that only provide a link and nothing else.
At the very least highlight something of the text in the post description that is worth reading to create a discussion, and then give us your two cents in the comments.

Welcome to the resistance!
It’d be kind of neat to take the battery from your old vehicle and port it to your new one. An automotive BYOB, if you will.
