I’ve tried others but I only really like eternity. I guess I could try to maintain it myself but I don’t like android development

ChromeOS is definitely better than windows, you can run all your normal Linux things just with a slightly annoying desktop environment

Yeah, I used Infinity for reddit but then they had to start charging for use because of the API pricing so I moved to Eternity which is a fork of Infinity for lemmy. Problem is, Eternity doesn’t seem to be maintained anymore so when it stops working with some lemmy update I guess I’ll just have to go back to entertaining myself with simon tatham’s portable puzzle collection or something

Do you think every Russian or every American is just able to leave the country as soon as they realize the awful things their government is doing? People don’t choose where to be born. Whether I was going to be Swiss or American was a decision made before I was born that if I had any say in would probably have gone the other way

Never been in one but they definitely seem nice. driving any 90s/2000s sedan would definitely make me like a date better, especially given how many people I know drive horrible modern SUVs

There’s also Konqueror, the file manager/web browser combo that was mostly replaced by dolphin but is still sort of maintained

Interesting, dolphin is by far my favorite file manager. What don’t you like about it?

I mean yeah I know they’re better, I run lineage os, but it still is just another android distribution, not a real android alternative. I feel like the people who just want safer android are going to be confused by them being called “alternatives” and the people who want an alternative know that they aren’t really alternatives.
