I really wonder what scenarios the billionaires have envisioned. After they close the hatches, what use do the security people have for a billionaire? Money is worthless and the billionaire, his family and all his friends will only consume limited resources faster. With no legal recourse on the outside, the security people will just kill everyone, loot the larders and live like kings.

We would all be better off replacing CEOs with AIs. They’re both simply confident bullshitters.

I think you’re right, but I dread it. I avoid installing apps. The thought of installing even more tracking for multiple vendors annoys me.

Good point. A US department store chain – Kohl’s – has been using electronic shelf labels that change several times per day. Not sure how they handle the discrepancies. How do I prove the product was prices $1 when I picked it up if the label now says $2? Is it my responsibility to notice the register price was different?

I more or less avoided Kohl’s, so I’m not sure how that was handled.

Follow the money. Find out which politicians resist healthcare and you’ll find who’s getting paid to resist it.

They’re failing because they hired a string of accountants as CEOs. Undoubtedly they conceded to Wall St pressure to sacrifice research and engineering funding to goose short-term profits. 4 of those and there’s no recovery from that nose dive.

People are good and care about good things.

We have trouble understanding what’s going on because the average person can’t comprehend the levels of greed that modern Wall St capitalism selects for.
Just like the average person cannot comprehend a million years, the average person can’t appreciate the level of avarice some of our rich and powerful operate at. Only a few of us have interacted with people that broken.
There a tons of good people and good businesses out there. They are currently victims to levels of avarice we can’t bring ourselves to admit exists.
