I’m clearly not able to officially diagnose this person. Please understand I’m just shooting off the cuff on Lemmy, where everyone else here is like “hey everyone, laugh at the crazy guy.” Imo those are the people you should be directing your ire at.

In my experience, this sort of goal directed activity and paranoid scrawlings are much more likely to be the result of severe mania with psychosis than schizophrenia, delusional disorder, or schizophreniform disorder, where disorganization and amotivation are more likely to occur and lead someone to be “stuck” rather than decorate an entire vehicle and drive it around town.

Look dude, I’m not here to argue about the US’s absolutely fucked foreign policy, and in absolutely no fucking way am I saying any one conflict is not driven in whole or in part by capitalism.

But “Capitalism is the primary driver of wars” is a fundamentally false statement. Just because it’s a driver of some or even most modern conflicts does not make it “the primary driver of wars.” War is a well documented and studied social phenomenon that predates capitalism by thousands of years, maybe millions. Fucking chimpanzee tribes war with each other. There are thousands upon thousands of wars throughout human history that prove your statement wrong.

Yes, every non-capitalist country throughout history has been a beacon of peace lmao

Humans are human. Capitalism is absolutely a driver of some conflict, but conflict is driven not only by economic interests, but also political, ethnic, religious, and other interests.

What hubris? They did what they needed to in supporting Ukraine and it’s been incredibly successful, given popular sentiment was Ukraine would fall within days of the invasion. Are you just going to ignore Russian hubris here, invading a giant sovereign nation and exposing the weaknesses in your military along the way? Lmao

I saw Cry Baby and loved it, and thought “Pink Flamingos is so famous, it must be great too!” I was disturbed. At what point are you just pushing the envelope for pushing the envelope’s sake? Or was that just a documentary about Baltimore

  • I get you on this. A lot of people really struggle to maintain empathy with people they may otherwise find despicable, but to me, increasing empathy in the world among and for literally everyone is a paramount goal. Take this example: A huge percentage of men who sexually assault children were sexually assaulted themselves as children. It’s easy to dehumanize someone in this situation, but the reality is they have been both a victimizer and a victim in their lives. People are way more complex than our present instant judgment-based society allows for.

All that said, all Kyle Rittenhouse has to do is shut his ugly goddamn mouth if he wants to stop getting lambasted by the public.
