  • India: hey, I need coal to generate electricity.

PotatoMuncher: Hey. Lemme teach all about potato-batteries. We got all the potatoes you need.

India: I got potatoes. I need coal for my power plants as well as foundries.

PotatoMuncher: We’ve got world’s best aluminum and steel. Produced with renewable energy.

India: I don’t want to rely on you. I got power plants and furnaces. I want to produce my own. Sell coal.

PotatoMuncher: I seek to minimize emissions. I know what’s best for everyone else. No coal for you.

India: Were you dropped on your head? Or just an ignoramus elitist with a colonial worldview?

PotatoMuncher: I got all organic, gmo free, pesticides free, fair market, 100% Canadian potatoes.

Boil em. Mash em. Stick em in a stew...

India: Stick em where the poutine don’t shine.

  • No argument there from me.

I’m not saying we should keep them dependent and let our shitty multinational corporations continue making bank selling them coal forever. I’m all for nationalizing it and using the profits to transition to a better solution.

I’m just saying that they won’t stop using the only means of electricity generation they’ve already invested into just because we tell them it’s bad for the environment. Especially since we’re still burning coal for electricity in Saskatchewan.

I thought we had stopped but someone corrected my stupid assumption.

  • That poor serf in China or that outcast “untouchable” in India would have a much more difficult life without their shitty government using dirtyass polluting coal to generate electricity. Just 2 countries are 35% of the world’s population.

Wealthy countries agreed that we’ll reduce out footprint first because we are the ones who contributed in destroying the environment more than the global majority. We didn’t change anything significant by the looks of it. That’s on our government and our consumerism.

Those guys over there still need their coal.

  • voted for Donald Trump in 2024 after believing his promises to lower living costs

    No she didn’t.

immigrated from El Salvador as a child,

Implying she had any say in the matter as a child. Her parent(s) made the decision and dragged her along regardless of her feelings on the matter.

Celia Salmerón, 58, accused the Trump administration of bringing hardship

She willingly voted for a guy who said he’ll be deporting her Mexican ass back to Mexico. As well as how Mexicao isn’t sending their best. She thought that the Orange Pedo knows El Salvador isn’t Mexico and she’s special since she’s not Mexican and Trump isn’t talking about her and her totally-not-Mexican family.

only the devil could govern with such cruelty.

He told everyone in the world about his intent to unleash cruelty and she thought it won’t affect her because she’s not Mexican or “black” or Haitian. She’s special and “an American”. Forgetting where her El Salvadorian ass came from.

Many of Salmerón’s clients are undocumented immigrants, including some with pending asylum claims, making her neighbourhood particularly vulnerable to the administration’s aggressive immigration enforcement.

He told everyone he’ll be cruel and you chose to vote for him and his cruelty because you’re too stupid and self centred to realize you’ll be affected and targeted as well.

Tough titties, Celia Salmerón from Not-Mexico.

Trump’s economic promises and immigration policies are alienating voters who helped deliver his return to the White House.

Lol. At least 30% are still singing “aye vil woat for Donol Tromp” and joining ICE to dish out cruelty.

    Bon Voyage, Latinos for Trump.

votes in the US aren’t about trans people in other countries

Even though USA is murdering and bombing them…

Votes are important in those countries as well. Especially for trans people.

Even though they don’t get to vote in the US. They only get to die because of getting bombed by the US.

You need to pick a lane and figure out wtf you’re even trying to say.

you keep only bringing up the genocide in Gaza

So you don’t care about USian bomb murdering the trans people… You don’t care about trans people unless they’re USian.

You’re a confused kid. A bigoted, self centred confused kid who is okay with genocide as long as the victims are in far away lands and not white.

I assure you they’re not waking up in the morning and telling themselves “I’m gonna support fascism” before heading to polls and voting blue.

We’re not going to get change overnight without a very major and violent tragedy. Great Depression and The Dust Bowl lead to the New Deal. It seems another global depression will be coming our way if USA doesn’t stop their shenanigans.

Seen the unrest in EU countries over collapsing social services, broken social contract, rising poverty and crumbling infrastructure? We’re so used to it and numb in North America that we’re just putting up with it instead of taking to the streets. We’re fighting culture wars and worried about “sharia law” and the muslim mayor of London even though we can’t afford to visit London or take days off work.

Things will change. But not as fast as some of us wish. In the meantime, build bridges with the fellow plebs. Be like Bernie Sanders. He sat with them and he’s still not a fascist.
