i know a lot of the mp games i play have an anti-cheat that doesn’t support linux, i’m blaming the AC devs here, not linux.

idk, i read this as a joke about how being emo isn’t accepted once you’re past a certain age, and how that age is higher for women. don’t get me wrong i do think straight cis men should be allowed to be flamboyant and colourful, but i don’t think the meme is against that

from the way i’m interpreting this meme, it’s mocking the people that do actually think like this. ofc there’s a whole life waiting for you whether you have mpb or not, but some ppl are superficial as hell and go “it’s so over” as soon as there’s a sign of baldness

that league example is the exception and not the rule. most games have horrible measures against sexism and racism and whatnot. the issue with league’s system is that it’s ai-based and ai makes mistakes all the time, not the fact that it’s trying to stop toxicity.

i fucking hate the “that’s how it is, go do smth else if you don’t like it” attitude. can we please acknowledge that online gaming would be overall more fun for everyone if people stopped being toxic towards each other?

yeah i definitely agree, it’s not the best solution, and the law is insanely biased towards the rich. hopefully one day artists will be guaranteed a livable wage for their art

eh, i’ll reply too. the only reason why intellectual property exists for art is because it’s essentially the only way for artists to make money under this capitalist system. while i agree that a capitalist economic system is bad and that artists should be able to make a livable wage, intellectual property on art is more of a symptom of this larger problem

As an artist myself as well, I fully support the idea that the meaning of art is ultimately in the eye of the beholder. I simply think that a fundamental characteristic of art is its human source and the human expression imbedded into it, however that art is then interpreted. I may be mistaken, but you seem to view art as something that is defined by its experience, which is something that I disagree with. I would also love to hear your reasoning behind that.

I’m not gonna lie, in a post-capitalist world, I would have absolutely no issue with AI that isn’t “AI art”. Art is the product of human creative decisions and human creative expressions. Removing the human source of said art (in my view) strips it of being art.
