I’m doing the same and streaming my experience. I bought a Retrofreak and playing a bunch of obscure Japanese famicom, superfamicom, sega mark iii, master system, mega drive, game gear, game boy, gba, and finally pc-engine games. I live right next to a used game store too. It’s so great. I haven’t bought a new PC game for myself in about a year (I buy switch games for my kids).
Oh! I also hacked my 3ds lately so I’m playing a bunch of games on that too.

whoaaa thanks so much for the info!! I live in Japan now and wanna move back for my kids to be able to experience Canada, but find it so damn hard because I dunno what kind of jobs there are and it’s just so damn expensive there now. I’m seriously considering giving it a shot if it helps me and my family resettle in Canada. Again, thanks so much for the info.

It has? I wonder if I can enlist as an interpreter.
Thank you, I was super confused because I had zero context lol

Thank you Sanctus!
I don’t think it was tied together at all, sorry lol
I’m having a hard time putting barley and pepper together. In fact, I don’t even know how to use toasted barley. Usually, here in Japan, we put barley to cook with rice, but it’s not toasted. I’m looking at the other posts for some better inspiration, so thank you for making this post.

Aren’t they hardware focused? I don’t use any of their products but I keep hearing praise about their M chips and their general build quality. Their phones seem pretty solid too; although, I guess you might not be getting the best bang for your buck when comparing features side-by-side.

But their fans keep eating the shit so it doesn’t matter.
I tried to make it fun by playing your challenge but you didn’t even acknowledge that in your response. Instead, I got more “nuh-uh!”
You’re saying it’s just for fun, there’s no need for strict rules, but how do you not see that your lack of defined rules and reaction to criticism is making it the opposite of fun?
Having said that, is like to turn things around to take the negativity out of the thread.
I don’t think I can make anything with barley and peppers that complement each other that well, so maybe I’ll just pickle the peppers and make roasted barley tea to make healthy and refreshing snacks.

Same. The only time I willingly bought an American product in last year and a half was an espresso at McDonald’s in Europe to use their toilet. Luckily, we have lots of domestic products here in Japan so it’s easy to avoid Yank products/services, but ignoring Steam sales have been like torture.

Is that what it is??? I don’t think I’ve ever had it since these might not be very common where I live. I actually like shirako, horumon, and natto but I’ve never even heard of kusaya. It must be a mainland thing that we don’t really have here. Gotta try it some day!

Public urinal on legs?

You think future Americans will be embarrassed by all this and not idolizing it. I like your optimism. I, too, hope Americans can smarten up one day.

What in the…?

Monja doesn’t fit the criteria 100% because it looks bad but tastes OK at best. Seriously looks like sizzling vomit and I hate the way you’re supposed to eat it with that stupid ass spatula. All that for mediocre taste. Monja is my least favourite Japanese food.
That’s actually really clever.
