I feel like you’d rapidly cross a point of having changed so many rules, you just have a different game with the same story. Which is maybe fine, but at that point maybe just make your own story too.
I’d end up changing like every piece of the rules system if I tried to make it more to my taste.
Loved the game as a child. Really struggle with the rule system now.
The combat is kind of shallow. There’s a lot of tedious kiting, or just rolling the dice and waiting.

Some of these streets are busy with double parked cars and a painted on bike lane. I still believe if someone’s parked in the bike lane you should be able to do whatever you want to the car.
There’s one spot I’ve been through a lot, on this list, where they want the bike to merge into the center lane in order to continue. Insane.
Just read people’s history by Howard zinn and that’ll radicalize a lot of people. It’s just the rich fucking everyone over and over.

Conservatism is entirely about the laws applying differently to different people. The king is special. The nobles are a little less special. The peasants are trash. The slaves are worse. That’s the conservative world. Hierarchy. So of course they don’t want to apply rules to their chief.
They are worse than children.
I remember when 9/11 happened I wanted to know who did it, why they did it, what we would do next. Most of the adults were just freaking out and had no idea.

We’re never going to get most people to care or be willing to be a little uncomfortable, but can you imagine the impact if everyone just canceled their subscriptions all at once? Disney executives would be jumping out windows. Youtube’s office would be blood soaked.
Metaphorically paying in some other way - skip the party, but spend time together in some other way - can sustain the relationship.

Sure, like King Gizzard left spotify and put their music on bandcamp. They got some press about it. Some of my friends went to bandcamp to get their music, even. But the vast majority of people still just use spotify. People don’t care about things, especially if it would be inconvenient.
It’s still good to get people off private platforms.
I think it applies differently to famous, rich, figures who already have an audience. They could loudly announce they’re leaving facebook. A chunk of their fans would follow. They’re already rich, they can tank losing some fans. It would be better for everyone to get people off Facebook platforms and onto open ones.
Some local band that’s struggling to get their first EP out I could maybe cut some slack on going to where the people are.
Oh yeah, the last time I replayed the games I used that. I had some sort of dwarf berserker that was pretty strong, until the end game where being angry wasn’t enough.
