Get rid of privately owned cars and you might be on to something. If the state owned a fleet of self driving cars you could rent at the car library, that would probably be better than everyone having their own car they park somewhere most of the time.

Building walkable living spaces with mass transit would be better for more people environmentally, economically, health-wise, socially…

  • It’s interesting when you get a mix of your sort of person and the other “let’s go out for drinks” together in the same office. One workplace most of us would go out for drinks and karaoke, or hang out for board games, but there was always one guy who was like “nah thanks”. Still friends with one guy from that group. The one that never came around, no idea what he’s up to. He’s probably happy that way.

  • I’d like to see more spaces converted into like “15 minute loading/unloading”. There’s a lot of double parking that’s just people trying to do something quick.

I think it was on coney Island avenue the other day that the whole right lane was taken up by people double parking. That’s absurd. Not sure why so many people needed to drive someplace so close to several subways and bus stops, but there’s a lot of ways to discourage that space.
