I just pointed this out elsewhere. China has learned how to play the West’s own game against them. And because they actually kmow how to make and execute long-term plans, once they rise to power they will stay there. We should all be having our kids learn to speak chinese.

I once had the unique experience of a landing in a passenger jet with no flap control. First we flew around in circles to burn off the fuel, so that we would make a smaller mess (and smaller mass!)

That’s the neat thing: as an adult, you dont have to decide. You have the rest of your life to figure it out.
