Password can also very easily be stolen during phishing, while passkeys are phishing resistant.
And while a hardware passkeys can be stole and used, those who steal them will still need the pin to use them, and the two major hardware passkeys options now (Yubico and Token2) both have some pin brute force protection in their firmware to slow someone down long enough for an account to be secured another way.
As for passkeys on phones, they require the pin or biometric used to unlock the phones to be used.

Is there a proper syncthing android client now, after the official android client was discontinued?

KeePassXC has passphrase generation built in

I’m positive to anything helping OSM.
But just wanted to point out in regards to directory, it isn’t only because business owners do the work gmaps beat OSM for now.
It is because Google handles some info better, either just by national flags or by scraping info from websites.
That is why OSM shows all shops around me as open right now, while gmaps doesn’t since it is a public holiday where all shops are closed.
When OSM get that kind of info correct, without having to manually edit opening I do for every shop, it will be a proper contender in the directory category.
No, I bought an android phone because it’s not a fucking apple device.
After spending a few years managing apple devices in a large company, I wanted nothing to do with them anymore.
Yes, something like that.
Things that are counted as emergency is also free.
And there is nothing on the pop os page ahead of the downloads that indicates the DE is any sort of alpha or beta.
Anything close is way at the bottom where it says Cosmic is new and being developed.
Quality of the image isn’t the best, but D1 (bottom right) looks to be a LED, and matches with D for diode.
It is yes, but the etymology is from pesach.
Not derived from passover, but pesach.
I’m pretty sure these are one of those “it costs $1 million to manufacture and then 14 million to guarantee they work and everything is documented.” things.

Just got my first ever warning the other day.
Was a comment about voting on using gallows or guillotines to solve some problems in the US.
Wasn’t even advocating it, just offering it as a suggestion to those living there.

You guys work on may 1st?

If the only laptops having the issues is the laptops that have Samsung share installed, why is it then Microsofts fault that an update broke something?
Apperantly they changed something in the updated that made a bug in Samsung share appearent.

Honda has been selling Hybrids since atleast '99, when they came out with a hybrid right before Toyota came out with the Prius.
for a while they have had Hybrid version available for most of their car models.

The main issue from what I hear is that they realy though hybrid would be the perfect middle ground, hence why every vehicle they both had was hybrids.
And those should have been easy to move to fully EV when they saw that was the way forward, but apparently they didn’t see that, so kept on with the hybrids.
[EDIT] noticed from the reply under that i forgot to add Toyota on this. that is what i ment by “both”: Toyota and Honda.

So probably not a Microsoft issue, but a Samsung issue, since Samsung share is the culprit?
Does Lemmy have an alternative to r/iam13andthisisdeep?
