Considering the last shot is in a public train stop I would imagine it is, or at least has official approval

cryptTurtle@piefed.socialto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is your personal threshold for being grossed out by owning an object that was once part of a living being, and why?English7·2 days agoI think it’s more about presentation for me. For instance I have a turtle skull covered in snake skin on my desk. It make it look like a sick dragon head. So like a slab of human meat would be disgusting just sitting there. However if it was old skin preserved using a specific technique and presented in an artful way then I’d be down with it

Basically it’s not the strongest legal precedent but it does set some precedent. Specifically in that it opens non-compliant States to legal action from other States that have economic partnerships with them

cryptTurtle@piefed.socialto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When you make toast with peanut butter do you butter the toast first?English3·13 days agoBlackberries are supposed to have natural pectin in them. You could be straining them too much and removing the natural pectin from the juice. Idk worth experimenting with I’d say
We do add butter to ours to help reduce the amount of foaming during the boiling process. So that might have something to do with it too
cryptTurtle@piefed.socialto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When you make toast with peanut butter do you butter the toast first?English4·15 days agoWhat kind of jam are you making? My partner recently got into making blackberry jam and we dont have issues with liquidity. Maybe the jam needs to be dehydrated more before it’s canned?
cryptTurtle@piefed.socialto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When you make toast with peanut butter do you butter the toast first?English31·15 days agoI butter the pan when I toast my bread. After that I normally just use whatever topping of the day (peanut butter, jam, etc). I’ve found that pan toasting is really the only way to get your toast perfect. Toaster ovens just end up wasting counter space you could otherwise use for something you can’t achieve with a pan
cryptTurtle@piefed.socialto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Studying for my P&C Exam and this part of Oklahoma Law bothers meEnglish111·15 days agoSome things to note. 3606 was first introduced in 1957 an age with vastly different cultural norms than ours in present day. Additionally that statute was amended as of May this year. Starting in November the process now requires parental agreement. Further it adds the
or she
phrasing in all the placeshe
is used. That seems like a step in the right direction though of course it doesn’t address OP’s concerns around the age of consent

cryptTurtle@piefed.socialto science@lemmy.world•Carnivorous Squirrels Documented in CaliforniaEnglish38·23 days agoSo school kinda lied to you. Herbivores and carnivores exist on a spectrum. The extremes are known as “obligates”. So an animal that lacks the ability to eat plants entirely is known as an “obligate carnivore.” Otherwise, the rest of animals are somewhere spread across the spectrum. Animals in this region are commonly known to eat what’s easily available with just a preference toward one end or the other.
cryptTurtle@piefed.socialto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is there any social media without memes and US politics?English111·23 days agoEnglish media will always be dominated with us politics. As for memes well, welcome to the internet. The best way to avoid memes is to avoid the internet
cryptTurtle@piefed.socialto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Which way do your windows open?English2·1 month agoMine have a crank and opens like a door. It’s awful. You can’t fit a window ac or a portable ac setup in it. I had to get a custom acrylic cutout sized to replace the screen.
I think increasingly larger and larger exposure is what we want
