21·2 months agoEven if its one person, you would have to start somewhere. Maybe they have your data from the last 24 years, as per your example. If you cut off now, five years later, they still have only 24 years of your data. They won’t have the last five year’s data, which would be crucial for them.
That’ll be difficult, because a number of lemmy users have been redditors before. On the other hand, number of lemmy users that could have migrated to reddit is nil, which is probably why redditors are not talking about lemmy or the fediverse as much.

1·4 months agoIn many recipes, they call for adding a pinch of something - asafoetida, cardamom powder etc. Just add a teaspoon or two of that.

3·4 months agoI agree on trying the live boot first. I played around with the live boot for a week, and ended up installing mint as dual boot when I got frustrated about not being able to save files, save settings etc. I was barely using Windows at that point.

31·4 months agoSkepticism doesn’t necessarily entail outright rejection of something. Like, I could be skeptical about vaccines and their side effects, but still get the vaccine because it is the best option available to me right now.

5·4 months agoIf Indian qualifies as one single cuisine - then Indian. I’ll have enough dishes to try out in my lifetime and that’s after considering I am vegetarian.
I don’t know whether anyone has mentioned this – gacha games. Like cults, it forces you to pay a lot of money, but never enough to satisfy them. It always leaves you in a state of frustration. Video gaming is supposed to be a hobby, but the level of attention and resources demanded by these games are insane.
For me, God is a character stronger than me… Someone whom I call upon in times of despair. That’s it. No deeper meaning than this.
