Games@lemmy.world•The Witcher 3's expansion reveal is scheduled for next monthEnglish
5·2 months agoHeart of Stone hits harder than blood which is breezy in comparison. First time I enjoyed blood better but that was mostly down to the new location. Going over the same territory from the main game was a bit underwhelming. But on replay - no contest. (Well apart from the Auction house.)

5·2 months agoI played nier replicant having played automata recently and can’t say the story really grabbed me.
Currently reattempting Detroit:Become Human. Very cinematic. Very tropey and am expecting the story to go in a predictable direction but we will see.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you use for your personal photos/videos backups? Cloud service? Local external drive? Etc
2·4 months agoManual backups to externals - honestly nothing that really gets revisited that often so dont feel the need for setting up anything more complex.

3·4 months agoPersona 5 (Non Royal) edition. As part of a 3R/4G/5 replay. I prefer it to Royal tbh, I feel it didnt need the additional content or grappling hook.
Def interesting dive. Never watched the awards, Plenty there I had never heard of.

5·7 months agoProbably Sekiro and Metaphor Refantazio, though I’m a bit over From Software style games at the moment.

3·7 months agoI finished a rerun of Dragon Age 2 which I love (ppl rate it the worst - not meee) and jumped on to Dragon Age Origins, which I have never finished and I’m struggling… Just not my bag.
Doesn’t help that its the PS3 port, with a UI not designed for a controller (the sequels were much better in this regard) but yeah… not sure if I care enough to complete it :/ At least it doesnt have busywork.

Games@lemmy.world•XCOM: Enemy Unknown – Review and Retrospective- Is It Worth It In 2025?English
2·8 months agoThe OG Xcom and Terror from the Deep are the classics. The new 20XX ones are fine, if streamlined additions Haven’t felt any need to revisit apocalypse though.
This is what I love to see niche instances that specialise in an area rather than trying to be another generalist / reddit. At this stage you’ll prob need to fight discoverability issues. Cheering for ya.

Forgot how cool the visual aesthetic in this game is. I feel like it should get a remaster but Im guessing it didn’t sell well enough, could make great use of the ps5 controller.
God of war 2 is even better if you can find it.
IO making a bond game is intriguing. No idea what to expect there, having played and loved hitman 1 and 2
Replaying the division at the mo, but love both D1 and D2 although noting the engines/environments are great but the stories characters are pretty bland.
Dying Light plus its dlc THE FOLLOWING are a ton of fun. The dlc is completely different from the main game e.g countryside / driving and a decent length So worth checking if you haven’t given it a spin.

Legendary - I think that’s it - thanks!
