This happened throughout his first term as well as within the Trump Organization before he sought public office. His management style seems to be one where the boss pits everyone against each other to keep all would-be dethroners at bay. It’s not the best way to distribute the keys of power, but it is a good way to keep anyone from challenging the leader even in the slightest.
Foundationally antisemitic… “let’s gather all the Jews into one country, tell them that’s where they belong and only where they belong; the only place they could actually be safe. Anyone opposing this is clearly a racist/xenophobic and/or genocidal. Anyone standing in the way of this project must be destroyed, even if (perhaps especially if) they are themselves Jewish.”
The SA is so fucking rampant. Years back, we had a bar owner drug a bartender and try to have his way with them after hours. Barback came back in to get some water and stopped it, but SA is SA. Cops called and, while a nightmare scenario, thankfully the owner was arrested and eventually convicted… his ex-wife got the bar in the divorce, but closed and sold the space due to it having been a widely known incident.
That’s what happened in his first term (and apparently within his business for years). Trump’s management style appears to be: gather sycophants and yes men, orchestrate drama to pit everyone against each other, stay in power due to the instability caused by the infighting. No one considers challenging the king if the court is too chaotic.
