TheObviousSolution@kbin.melroy.orgto politics @lemmy.world•Trump casually admits to having the election rigged in his favor (at 3:00 mark)181·1 month agoThis is wrong. He’s just following the narrative that he has already made previously, that he’s only able to be there because “Biden rigged the election” when he was ranting he was not going to be able to be there, and that it is only because he was able to win after “Biden’s rigged election” that he is able to be there. Upvote this and perpetuate this if you want to easily be shot down as a hoax perpetuator.
Sincerely, A guy who literally believes Trump going to shift the US into an authoritarian dictatorship during this mandate.

But this seems to be a trend, also happened on reddit’s worldnews, although the support for the brigade there was quite explicit and was actively used to try to prop up the “War on Israel” to the same level as Ukraine long after Iran had been dealt with.
It’s petty shit like that, trying to eliminate people from conversation so they don’t have to deal with anyone with a history of supporting one of the good guys criticizing their genocide and ruining their “but we are also the good guys” narrative. Sort of why they get so defensive when they pull up the antisemitism label that Palestinians are also semites and that many groups that are antisemitic are also generally islamophobic outside of their hate circle with Arabs. These neozionist brigades have remained active long after Act-IL.

When and where was this happening? Gotta love lemmy and the dedicated propaganda campaign to join with MAGA to make anything and everything Trump is now doing the fault of the democrats. The good ol’ Russian pincer, attack from both sides to prop up the party you want and make those uninterested in the party you don’t want.
TheObviousSolution@kbin.melroy.orgto politics @lemmy.world•Is Trump preparing to invoke the Insurrection Act? Signs are pointing that way46·1 month agoYes, obviously. He isn’t just being dumb with the Canada and Greenland threats, he wants to provoke the circumstances to invoke the Insurrection Act. It’s the easiest way to bypass midterms and elections. They know what they are doing is unpopular, they know they are only maintaining the veneer of having popularity. It allows political persecution of “traitors” and “propagandists”. They aren’t casually siding with Russia, Russian authoritarianism is their model. Hope Musk gets thrown out a rocket window to make room for someone more loyal and less overbearing on Trump, he’s unpopular enough on both sides that it might actually be considered good PR by Trump.

Rather, it’s the private entities that will bribe him or give him money who will end up getting the better hand from the privatization of public property like these buildings and buying them up at a steal.
TheObviousSolution@kbin.melroy.orgto politics @lemmy.world•Will Trump’s entire presidency be as damaging as his first month?9·2 months agoPresidencies are over. The guy is literally trying to normalize calling himself king as well as anything that supports the shift into a personality cult authoritarian state. It will take time and the loss of liberties will be the only thing that trickles down exponentially. This transition is also being performed by idiots who can’t comprehend that there are other timers running out for our world, largely because they can’t discern it from the bullshit they spew, and those who can but just think it’s a good way to get ahead for when shit hits the fan.
This is it. This is it for the US. People still thinking that midterms aren’t going to be screwed over to deny a fair election are fooling themselves. Even if anything where to topple Trump, it is a systemic problem and one where all the major institutions have already been corrupted from the top. There is no getting back from this. There is no getting back from having to share a democracy with a cult and with people still being so indoctrinated by faux patriotism, power, and wealth that they won’t ever realistically consider seceding into like minded states - why, just imagine, how unpatriotic -gasp- .
The economy? Your social security? Your freedom? I don’t know how low it will go, but since most Americans only seem to care for themselves, to them, at the very least, they should expect to be cast off into a separate “lower class” if they ever shift to the wrong political association from now on.

Basically, kiss your social security pension away and just hope a substitute pops up - although it will likely be in the form of “get a check if you don’t criticize us” now. DOGE is an excuse to Big Data everything from every department and process it through AI, including knowing your political association.

It’s just missing the second page, where Zelenski gave them the finger while keeping the rare Earth minerals for the people fighting the aggressor.

I’m curious what creative excuse they will come up with, since they won’t want to make JD Vance look bad when they ban it.
My personal opinion is that Putin would have thrown Musk out of a window already if he could have, and that Bannon is basically his proxy on this. Musk just wants smaller, easier to influence nations that his companies can more easily manipulate and be less subject to regulations as a result. Musk doesn’t give a shit about Putin, he is more concerned about there being an economy under him he can’t exploit as well.
Seriously, secede. The Trump administration is already playing the state game, disappearing people well outside of the resident’s state jurisdiction. The Civil War wasn’t about secession, it was about slavery, and if people don’t realize that now that the roles are switched, slavery is soon going to make a come back - not just with people with the wrong skin color, but for people with the wrong political ideologies (and yes, slavery in the US was never outlawed, just reframed under the purview of private prisons).
Was the Civil War fought because of secession, or was it fought because of slavery? This questions isn’t rhetorical, because Americans are answering right now, and the appeasement towards a Project 2025 Dark Enlightenment technate administration with an authoritarian lifetime president from all states isn’t making the answer look too good.
States are letting this happen by letting hostile states who give fuck all about the constitution, just like the president, free reign in their state. The first thing that people need to realize is that the US no longer exists, not without its constitution. So why are states so willing to let these foreign agents from foreign states still dreaming of the slave owner era in?
