Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Mobilizon team got new funding, which changes and fixes would you like?Français1·10 days agoWell, i wonder if we could automate the process. For example, if i tag a post with flairs, they could be added in a wiki.

Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Mobilizon team got new funding, which changes and fixes would you like?Français4·10 days agoYeah the wiki is basic but it does its job. I enjoy a lot creating wiki and create lot ressource. It takes time but overtime it will be very valuable. :3
If you are interested, you can invite sopuli to create piefed instance if they haven’t. There is lot cool feature that will boost your experience.
So what wiki do you want to create ? :)
Good morning, We received repport about your behaviour on other instances/communities.
Our code of conduct is applied on jlai.lu but also on other instances/communities you will interact :
L’utilisation de propos violents envers une autre personne (insultes, moqueries, attaques personnelles, etc.), ou un groupe de personnes (sexisme, validisme, racisme, homophobie, transphobie, etc.), déguisée ou non.
You don’t need to use slurs to prove your point. I invite you to edit your comments and apologize. Or change your writing style.
Thank you, Snoopy for jlai.lu team.
Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why is Lemmy so US-centric? The largest instances are in Europe, aren't they? So why does it have to be US news trolling as if it were Reddit?English1·1 month agoPieFed is a software that support flair, tags, multicommu…your instance has opened a PieFed instance there : https://piefed.world/
The account on jlai.lu allow ya to use local shorting so you can switch to french content or english easily as we do.
A flux, is a piefed feature, this is a multicommunity. They can be public (shared to everyone) or private. So you can create flux based on countries, language, whatever come to your mind…on subcribe to an available flux, import existing one to your piefed instance…
Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why is Lemmy so US-centric? The largest instances are in Europe, aren't they? So why does it have to be US news trolling as if it were Reddit?English4·1 month agoThat’s why we moved our french communities there, on jlai.lu. so if you have a jlai.lu account, you can set your timeline to local and then every news will be french.
There is another solution : PieFed. With PieFed account, you can subcribe to the flux i created :
- https://piefed.social/f/cafe_fr (a cosy place where news are removed)
- https://piefed.social/f/actu_fr (there is also canada, swiss and belgium. For the worst news, such us US, gaza…are in Actualités difficiles)
- https://piefed.social/f/peertube_fr (a curratod list of french peertube content)
- https://piefed.social/f/societe_fr (for feminism, 0 waste, less cars, deaf…)
Oh i forgot, on piefed, we have a keyword filter. You can add trump, musk, eipstein and then ask piefed to hide or blur those posts.
I hope it helped ya somehow :)

Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto World News@lemmy.world•Police in Australia are looking for six men who brutally beat a man riding a bicycle in an apparent road rage attackEnglish13·2 months agoThe downvote for ? You don’t question why we contact him here and the comment below suggested he may be a spambot…
Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto World News@lemmy.world•Police in Australia are looking for six men who brutally beat a man riding a bicycle in an apparent road rage attackEnglish25·2 months agoWell, thank you ?
The problem is that he is repeating the same pattern. And we already contacted him several time (inbox and comment) and he ignore our call. It can’t be solved with normal mean, so what would you do ?
he did a ban evasion : created again an alt account here then posted it again in jlai.lu : 4 posts in 4min.
My comment serve both purpose : raise awareness and contact him to solve it. We are giving him a second chance and opening a way to work together. Usually it is up to users to reach admins.
Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto World News@lemmy.world•Police in Australia are looking for six men who brutally beat a man riding a bicycle in an apparent road rage attackEnglish25·2 months agoYeah, you are right, we also reached the same conclusion but it is odly specific and there were some time where he answered.
I also sent the info to the fediverse admins so we can act collectivly.

It is not weird. He did several ban evasion and was already banned several time on other instance. He never answered any message from our admin team. And others admin contacted us. So, what would you do ?
This is a common decision from our jlai.lu team, we are trying to open a discussion with dwz, we did it privatly but it was ignored. So i have no other way to contact him like this.

Since we tried to reach you several time, i’m also sending this message on your posts :
Hi dwz,
We’d like to talk with you in order to find a common ground that suits our users, the jlailu team and yourself.Given the several ban, i’m surprised that you haven’t tried to understand why and discuss with us or other admins team.
You can contact us there : https://jlailu.zulipchat.com/
We know that you want to share a lot of things with our communities but without any prior discussion we won’t allow any new posts on jlai.lu.
Thank you for reaching out us and for your understanding.

Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto Fediverse@lemmy.world•What is the dead-simple(est) way to onboard compeltely new people to Lemmy/FeddyEnglish3·4 months agoYep exactly that would be fairer and more equitable that way :)
Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto Fediverse@lemmy.world•What is the dead-simple(est) way to onboard compeltely new people to Lemmy/FeddyEnglish2·4 months agoYou are right we shouldn’t explain federation. But tell them for example with PieFed, they can watch peertube video, comment to mastodon group…but not federation. For me, it is the strongest point of the fediverse.
As for the instance, it would be great if they have an instance picker : what are your language ? Favorite topic ? Then give them several instance.
Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto Fediverse@lemmy.world•What is the dead-simple(est) way to onboard compeltely new people to Lemmy/FeddyEnglish2·4 months agoYes but the problem is the centralization and they may want an instance with their own language and culture. I think LW is too big and should be redistributed to other instance. But it is also a good starting pack. :)
Snoopy@tarte.nuage-libre.frto Fediverse@lemmy.world•What is the dead-simple(est) way to onboard compeltely new people to Lemmy/FeddyEnglish5·4 months agoI wouldn’t recommand lemmy.world there are lot instance they can pick up 😅
