I’ve been blocking communities and posters as they pop up. It works until someone spins up a new instance for it, but then you can just block that as well.

I generally don’t condone AI use but this seems like a case where it may be beneficial. Is it possible to feed your news sources into a chat bot and have it generate a “daily feed” of headlines and summaries? If it works right it could save you a lot of time.

10·2 months agoThat piece of shit, Esbern! I had the same glitch, thankfully there was a mod that fixed it pretty quickly.
Yeah, that tracks. I didn’t notice this Easter egg while watching but hard to miss in this context.

Climate - truthful information about climate, related activism and politics.@slrpnk.net•How to protect US students from heat in schools – and is it time to rethink summer break? US schools were built for a cooler climate that no longer exists. Now they face record-high temperatures5·5 months agoThats already been happening. I live in Philadelphia, where our schools are famously decrepit and underfunded, and there have been several “heat days” over the past few years. The frequency of them seems to be increasing.

Games@lemmy.world•Baldur's Gate 3 or Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?English
2·5 months agoAgreed. The game was an 11/10 for me until I got to the third act and spent an hour going “what now?”
Up until then the pacing and level design was immaculate.
Somehow I had 3 separate Ubisoft accounts with differing games on them. After a short back-and-forth proving I was the account(s) owner, they actually did what I asked. They combined all 3 accounts into one and combined my games catalog.
The corporation sucks ass, but their support did me a solid.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•If there's a sort of "apocalyptic" event but there are still surviving communities, will people be able to make eyeglasses again, or are people with vision issues gonna be fucked?
1·5 months agoGood vision could help with food gathering (hunting/foraging) but if youre in a farming community I imagine you’ll be fine.
I’m imagining imagining world’s worst fatberg and then doubling it after resting.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What game from your childhood is most nostalgic for you?
2·8 months agoI loved that command and conquer game! It was actually my pivot point into PC gaming, because I picked up Red Alert 2 and there was no going back.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is one moral you have that most people don't agree with?
21·10 months agoJar Jar Binks was the best part of the Prequel Trilogy. Those movies would be unwatchable without a bit of comedy.
