Good one, very useful

Most of these are French loans

I thought this was more of a British-American pronunciation difference: I (English) generally say roo-ting, and I’ve only ever heard USians say row-ting (row like argument, not like rowing a boat).
I sat through a meeting today where we played a game: guess the brand shown in the AI slop images. This was after being shown uses of Gemini like “ask questions about the current meeting” (presumably because most meetings are meaningless and nobody listens)

Weird for Ireland to abstain
You’ve not thought about the crew of said yacht: now they have no job!

There is. Owen Smith in 2016 challenged Corbyn and lost the leadership election

How many current Labour MPs would be worse than Kid Starver? Wes Streeting and Hilary Benn are the only ones that come to mind right now for me.

Great! Thought it’d be wild that no one else thought of this

I feel like there is scope for a Patreon type thing that allows you to donate a fixed amount but choose the projects it goes to so it gets split between them. So I can donate €20/month and choose projects A, B, C and G so they all get €5 each

But Palestine Action is still there

I’m not a source (and this is not about France) but I remember when Juan Guido declared himself president of Venezuela, the Bank of England just kept a load of Venezuelan gold and wouldn’t let Maduro’s government do anything with it

These are overtones
Why is “2003 invasion of Iraq” and “Iraq War” listed as 2 things? No need to pump Dubya’s numbers further
Black Mirror. It is sufficiently short to never need skipping.
Good points, but I really can’t stand this talking to myself video style
There was a podcast (I think Hyper Focused or Search Engine) that had an episode about this: American toilet cubicles are the way they are because they want to know if anyone is wanking
I know what a cog is but not what a Jetsons is
Even some libs on Mastodon are referring to it as a kidnapping
