Better Plan: vote in representatives that represent you, and stop listening to those that make you feel warm and fuzzy. But, this is a harder plan. Requires the majority of voters to, you know, try.

It’s an attempt to take a shortcut to a societal problem. It is, in a word, retarded (you can look up the definition in a dictionary and see it’s an appropriate usage).
