My Lemmy account (this one) is struggling even harder it seems. Not being able to load the feed for example.

Games@lemmy.world•EA reportedly shelves Need For Speed completely to focus on other projectsEnglish
21·6 months agoI think undercover was the last true NFS. Fast cars. High speed feeling. Tuning. Cops. Over the top grippy handling at times. Then it turned into cow dung with occasional decent ones but they never got the sense of speed or the fun worlds right for me again.

Summit@lemmy.world•Vote to support PieFed [v1.65.0 Edition]
6·7 months agoI’d love Piefed support. I’ve been reading up on it and I’m ready to jump ship. Summit is my favourite fediverse app, it works and looks amazing. So that combo would be incredible.
Edit: we made it!
I watched all of it and I found it boring and frustrating 99% of the time…
This makes me think about the brave little toaster when they go outside and the lamp asks where the light switch is on the sun.

And who decides what the “dealbreakers” are? The majority of society? God? Some king? Santa Claus?
Good point. There’s plenty of examples (fictional or not) where ‘nice’ people were driven to ‘not nice’ things and vice versa. The fact we need laws indicate that maybe mostly people are maybe not nice? Since if we’d be considerate we wouldn’t need those laws (in general)? It seems most people seem to think ‘being nice’ is doing things the majority of people deem as a good thing to do.
That’s an interesting point. People can be nice to certain groups of people I guess. Maybe no one can be nice to everyone.
I like this as a thought experiment: Lemmy, at what point does someone stop being nice? And is there a difference between acting or being nice?

Android@lemdro.id•Google rolling out auto-restart security feature to AndroidEnglish
18·9 months agoGrapheneOS has had this feature. Unlocking after a reboot is only possible with PIN. Also the RAM is wiped. This increases security and lowers the risk of attackers gaining access. Be it physically or not.

2·10 months agoNow I really want Germany to send a plane and egg the white house or the statue of liberty or any landmark for that matter. Or all…
