The guy that constantly ignores the constitution doesn’t support the people that swore to defend it? Crazy. Any military member that voted for him should be kicked out for supporting an insurrectionist.
I live in a city where I can afford to actually live in a very walkable part.
If anything, the memory safe Rust should be encouraged…
Theft. A long time ago I worked asset protection at Walmart. A lot of times people would get caught only after they got away with it several times. We would find out from a greeter that someone ran out with something. We would check the video, get screenshot, send out alerts to the other Walmarts… The camera footage is pretty important for catching those repeat offenders. Eventually they would finally be recognized while in the store instead of after the fact because of the alerts. I could see AI being an extremely value resource from that perspective while also being extremely dystopic from every other perspective. Such as Madison Square Garden using it to deny entry to people the AI flagged because they’re a lawyer in a case against the owner.
Do users care about Rust in the kernel? The others all make sense.
Demand is completely relevant. Who are you going to sell all this timber to if there is no demand? If you can’t sell it, then you’re just wasting money producing it.
Because the demand and ability magically appeared for them to do that?
I have a remote job and considered moving there. I ultimately decided not to because of the cost of living and the low walkability of the city.
Currently? Not at all.
The thing is, other countries will research it and get it to work. All this does is insure that we fall behind in yet another industry.
It would certainly be global chaos.
You’re on lemmy.ca, I’m guessing Canada? You won’t be unharmed from that collapse.
If he gets his way, we will have out of control inflation and other countries will start dumping our bonds as fast as they can. This could honestly be how the country collapses.
Oh, and it’s super satisfying to walk on in barefeet
Unless you happen upon one of those bees.
Just in case people are wondering about this, it’s true. Clover is a legume. Meaning it gets nitrogen from the air and puts it into the soil. This effectively means the clover is fertilizing the soil. Seeing lots of clover can be a sign that the soil lacks nitrogen and can’t grow much else.
More likely running Wind River’s VxWorks. Which, as far as I know is the big dog in the RTOS space. The OS being deterministic is super important in safety critical applications like flight computers and cars. Wind River does have a linux distro, but I don’t think VxWorks is. Although, they’ve kind of got caught being complacent and others are moving into the space like Red Hat In Vehicle Operating System.
If Tesla can hit $35k with all crap they put in them
That’s the neat part, they can’t. That $35k they advertise is with the $7500 rebate already applied. Remove that and the price is $42,500.
“Max spec” is closer to base specs on other vehicles. That 30k is likely an optimistic number. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m not expecting much from Slate. Maybe they’ll drive enough buzz to get the market to realize there is a demand for smaller, more affordable vehicles.
Hint, they’re probably not. They perceive themselves as faster, but on average the employees are.
