Not much more to share. There is a small, concrete room about 6’ x 10’ near my house. No door, no floor, no roof, just 4 walls, a doorway, and a window. Maybe an old pump house for a well that has long been filled in? No idea what it was, but I am captivated whenever I go past it.

Only the agents in Minnesota?
only to target immigrants who have criminal charges or convictions.
Really curious who they were previously told to target. I’d like to see the wording on those orders.

And still no consequences.

Morale is plummeting among ICE agents
I’d like to know how this compares to the morale crisis reported about 6 months back. Is it consistent or has it gotten even worse.
as they complained that long hours, ambitious arrest quotas and hatred from the public
Total lack of empathy. Their complaints are all about the impact on them. “We work too long, too hard, and without proper recognition”. No thoughts given to the cruelty that they release into the world.
many of them have grown “disillusioned” with the tactics being implemented by leadership
Is it just the actions of leadership that bother them and not their own actions? Is their complaint not that they are murdering, harassing and unlawfully targeting the most vulnerable among us (children, elderly sick, etc) because they don’t like the color of their skin? What changes are they hoping to see? Parades that celebrate their cruelty? Pizza parties for the team with the youngest person disappeared? An Amazon gift card for the most laws ignored in a month?
“It’s completely unfair to the agents who have been put in this position,” he added. “There’s only so much they can handle before bad things start to happen.”
Nope. It is completely fair. They are 100% responsible for their own actions. The agents are the ones committing these acts. They can refuse illegal orders, they can resign, they can obstruct, they can be whistleblowers.
“The violence and dehumanization of these men and women who are simply enforcing the law must stop.”
Aaah, so close. They almost had a moment of recognition.
“All of the sources support the mass deportation agenda, but have serious hesitations about the way it is being carried out and the messaging that comes with it,” … “Many of the sources have expressed frustration that ICE is routinely blamed for the actions of Border Patrol, a completely separate agency.”
Again with the complete lack of personal responsibility or awareness of the consequences of their own actions

In short, it’s selfish myopothy. “I don’t see how this will immediately and directly benefit me so I oppose it and, now that I have made my uninformed knee-jerk decision, I refuse to listen to opposing arguments that might cause me to admit that I was ever wrong about anything.”
You might recognize this behavior in other aspects of society. It is not isolated to transportation infrastructure.

And this time they pinky swear that they mean it!

Giving far too little credit to Congress and the Supreme Court. He couldn’t have done it without them.
US government really wants to keep Trump as the face of this shift so people don’t realize that once he’s dead that the the killer is still in the house.

Or, as it will be described after the next shooting, “federal agents sprayed with chemical weapons were justified in their use of lethal force.”

Taxing Americans because other countries don’t support his dementia fueled fever dreams of conquest. Yup, that’ll teach 'em.

“alarmed” = not surprised

The actor has instead acquired a soundmark from the U.S. Patent And Trademark Office on “a man saying ‘ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT’, wherein the first syllable of the first two words is at a lower pitch than the second syllable, and the first syllable of the last word is at a higher pitch than the second syllable.”
Only when “a man” says it? That sounds problematic and easily circumvented by AI, which is what the trademark was intended to protect against.

Is it really a law if there are no consequences for breaking it?

See folks? The GOP isn’t the cause of this cluster fuck of a situation. They are just as frustrated as you. The GOP is sympathetic. You like the GOP. They are on your side.

Sorta related xkcd what if clip about the longest sunset you can experience while driving.

The reference to the plane close to the beginning suggests that yes, so long as you can refill fast enough, or while flying than you can travel in perpetual daylight.

I’ve been hearing this since I was a kid, though back then they just blamed the use of digital clocks instead of phones.

Fiscal responsibility, right here people.

Did that when I visited New York. The conductor asked why I was staying on the train at the last stop. When I told him, he invited me to make the loop from the cab. Such a great experience.
At first glance I thought it was a cat commode.
