I just wash them normally at 30°C and hang dry. I’m pretty sure i did the loop-start and then just weaving the thread under when ending, but a bit more than usual, but nothing else to protect it. And they look just as good now 3 years later.

You can buy something called water soluble canvas, which has the cross stitch grid. In my country I have only found 14 count.

I recommend basting it on, and then starting in the middel so it don’t shift while you stitch.

When you are done you just wash it.

There is also something called waste canvas which you pull out after you are done stitching. But I don’t have personal experience with that.

Very fancy, but it’s not aida, its 32 ct. (12,6 in cm) Mureno (evenweave) from Zweitgart.

And it is my frist real try on anything but aida, and it is smaller than I’m used to, im doing two over two, so it is 16 ct (6,4 cm), but I’m used to 14 ct (5,4).

Video surveillance at work personally makes me feel more safe at work. If something happens, the police have a bigger chance to find the guilty party.

Not flute working but sewing, and I know it sounds insane, but mm is just to small to be practical. It’s one or two strands of tread whereas 1/4 or even 1/8 gives a proper piece to cut of.

And 1/4 inch seem allowance is just so much less bulky than the standard 0,75 cm, and so much more intuitive for me to work with … and f. I just realized that all my arguments for using inches are based on habits…

Even though I’m european I never really applied cm in anything but homework and therefore never got a real sense of it. And a lot of the nice sewing patterns are in inches so that’s where i started.
