I’ve been using call screening in iOS and it’s stopped pretty much all unwanted calls. Automated systems do not know how to handle it yet and they waste their time because the call is “answered” and sent to whatever agent they use.

The biggest loophole they use is taking out loans and using stock as collateral. Stock is supposed to be unrealized so if it is used as part of ANY transaction it should instantly become taxable.

Yeah, this data is going to be used to train AI to be less obvious

Thank you, I was working from memory, should have said so in the post.

Brilliant

Georgia public transport is shaped by racism and class politics. When Atlanta first started building MARTA, Cobb county didn’t want it so they established a 300 foot wide township that ran along the border of Cobb and Fulton counties. The only law this township had was that no public transit could be constructed in it. The township effectively blocked MARTA from reaching into Cobb county.
Why did this happen? Because when civil liberties came to be Atlanta experienced a “white flight” where white people moved in large numbers out of the city. Most of the white flight landed in Cobb county and wanted to keep black people out.
That’s one of the major hurdles that mass transport has had in Atlanta, there are plenty of others.

The ads in terminal show when you use ssh or only command line for the system. It happens when you log in so you mainly see it if you use Ubuntu server or use ssh to get into your computer a lot.
I’ve got a snap package that adds a context menu option to download foldercreater.zip to any directory you right click in. It also steals your crypto wallets.

That’s what they say but not what I’m experiencing. Either way, blank screen is better than ads

AMD is still trying to get in on the AI cash pile. The only thing they have going for them is pretty solid Linux support. I still pick them over nvidia and intel, they just aren’t much better than the others when it comes to “consumer first” ideologies
Souls like games. I tried, I’m just not built for them.

I think America has them beat in the “Death to America” speed run category

Because “blatantly illegal” has been such a stopping force so far.
I was looking at the Heltec eink nodes. I ended up going with this one because of the chipset and because I could print a nice looking case. The ones out there for the Heltecs were not that great and I’m not good at 3D modeling stuff like that.
They have a UI, inkhub, specifically for e-ink displays.im not using it at the moment but I will in the future.
It doesn’t need to refresh the whole screen at once. However, if I have more than 1 other node visible to me and could be active, it would have trouble keeping up. The inkhub UI handles it much better and once I see the joystick integration hit the beta branch I will use that instead.
For now I do most of my messaging via the phone app so it’s mainly just a very low power display for notifications.

Worse. I wouldn’t have been able to get a house if it weren’t for an unexpected inheritance. By the time I was my kids age my dad had taken me all over the country and I’ve only been able to take my kid to places within a few states. All the investment vehicles that my parents told me to trust have just sucked money away so I have no retirement savings other than whatever is left of theirs when they pass. My vehicle just turned 20 and while it’s reliable, I can’t afford for something to happen to it.
All I have going for me is that I’m not in tremendous debt but that means my credit is poor because I don’t constantly owe people money. My parents were able to get loans without automatic denial based on credit checks because those didn’t exist when they were buying homes. They were able to get a house, watch the value double or triple over the next 15 years, and sell it for a huge profit.
Sounds like exactly what it does. And you’re treating it right, if they don’t answer it sends what you said to voicemail.
