Because the institutions that had the will and power to create the hierarchies that rule society got that power by stepping on heads and fucking over anyone who got in their way. It’s why things only work in favor of a tiny number of people, and exposing that truth to the largest number of people possible seems like one of the only ways to rectify the issue.

Yep, I’ve got my copy of Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman too, and the bar part was so gross, and the fact that people tell their story like that and don’t have the shame to either leave it out or make it sound less predatory speaks volumes about who they are.

Because Judaism isn’t Israel, and Israel isn’t Judaism? Acting as if opposing genocide is antisemitic is an attempt to say that genocide is a tenet of Judaism, which it isn’t. Israel is selling Judaism short for the temporary win of avoiding criticism, and the long-term cost is going to be that some people overcorrect and equate Israel’s myriad of crimes.
