I liked organizing and telling people what to do so I became a project manager. Specifically in IT because I like computers.

11·1 day agoYes, he’s the player character this round instead of Jesse.
Yes, click on the title instead of the image.

7·6 days agoA friend finally convinced me to try out Dark Souls. I’m not too far in, and I’m not having a bad time per se, but I am having a little trouble getting into it and caring about why I’m hacking and slashing everything. Maybe I just haven’t got enough lore yet. Though I do like seeing the other players’ messages and their “ghosts” running around, that’s fun.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How close have you ever been to a lightning strike, or related situation caused by a lightning strike?
5·21 days agoI was driving through the country on a somewhat stormy day, when I happened to glance over and saw a bolt hit in the middle of a field I was next to. My immediate thought was “Oh, this is going to be LOUD.” A split second later, it was, like feel it in your chest loud. It was a such a weird physical feeling too, like a sudden buzz or tingling all over, I’m not sure how else to describe it. The cat I had with me did not like it at all, she wouldn’t stop crying for a good thirty minutes before she settled back down.

7·3 months agoI’ve been absolutely obsessed with the 2014 reboot of Thief over the past couple weeks. I’m having so much fun just sneaking around and stealing stuff and finding new hidey holes lol. It’s making me really want to try out the older games. I don’t know how I slept on it for so long because it’s been great.

1·4 months agoLast week I played through Ryse: Son of Rome, and I was pleasantly surprised in how much I enjoyed it, especially for a rather QTE heavy game.
Right now I’m working through Fobia: St. Dinfna Hotel, and man there is so much backtracking for puzzles and lockboxes and whatnot. But it’s been fun, and basically feels like a first person Resident Evil game, at least atmosphere wise.

2·5 months agoI’m working on Diablo 4 Season 9. I wasn’t hearing great things about this season at first, so I held off for a few days until some patches came out, but I have to admit, I’m kind of having fun so far. I have an actual reason to do nightmare dungeons again, and personally, I kinda like the reliquary cosmetics this time around. I’m going with a Druid build, which is a class I honestly haven’t touched since season 1, and it’s not too bad so far.

2·5 months agoAs much as I absolutely love Lies of P, I’ve been holding off since I’ve been hearing about a lot of bugs. Sounds like I maybe need to wait for another patch, unless the patch they released a week or two ago is the only one.

Games@lemmy.world•A game you "didn't know it was bad 'til people told you so"?
91·6 months agoDead Space 3. Sure, it has some issues, but I didn’t realize how much others actively disliked it until I tried talking to people about it.
Edit: And the point of the post is immediately proven lol
That’s Rose Winters (Ethan’s daughter), and there’s a DLC for Village that features her that’s worth checking out!
This looks it might be more related to Outbreak, since the (presumably) main character Grace is the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some of the rules about the Internet that were taught to you but are now completely ignored?
1·1 year agoEvery time someone does that it weirds me out because in the 90s telling (and asking) people those things would have been such a suspicious, sketchy move.
And now it’s come 180 in that some see it as a red flag if you don’t give up that information. I had someone on a different social media site accuse me of being a bot because I wouldn’t give up the specific town I’m from. I’ve seen it happen to others too. It is both fascinating and insane how viewpoints have changed regarding identifying yourself online.

I love The Man Who Invented Christmas, because I’m a sucker for Dan Stevens, and a follow up with The Muppets Christmas Carol is the best.
