  • This is fucking killing me right now. Same with “we get to say the F slur again” like…you were never not allowed to say it. The only repercussion was some people fucked with you less, and that’s still the case. Y’all just use it as a battle cry now.

Same mfs were mad that Bud Light made a few cans of gay beer haven’t let go either, but their rules say they get to hold the grudge but Dems can’t be mad at Chic Fil A.

  • I type with my keyboard in my lap; for whatever reason, I’m not usually doing mouse and KB at the same time. I used numpad cause I worked retail through college, and if I’m hitting anymore than 5 numbers, I’m using numpad. But I also don’t care about the esthetics while at work. Same with my desk at home, tho it is set up more to my preference. I just don’t care about the KB being centered with the mouse. I think I like the unbalanced look better, it gives each piece it’s own weight.

That, and the damn keyboards cost $140 anymore. If. the paying that much, I want the option of a numpad lol. Plus I think they look dumb without the extra keys, if that makes sense?

  • YUNZII Typewriter Keyboard
Outemu Silent Peach Switches v2 (v3 is available, idk the difference)
Keycaps I got are sold out, but it’s just generic ones with no branding or design, just black and tan.

Yunzii is a brand I’ve seen in other sites outside Temu, so I was decently confident in it being alright. I wanted quiet switches because I work in an office (obviously lol) and I didn’t want to make extra noise. These are very quiet switches, barely louder than the AC air blowing. Keyboard itself is decent enough for just a cheap chassis, but I also like the 108 keyboards and not the small ones (daddy needs his numpad).

  • I got a keyboard, keycaps, and some switches for a work keyboard. I wanted something cheap cause it is just supposed to get me off a shitty ergo one they provide. Spent maybe $40 and it’s pretty decent. I got quiet switches, connectibility is good. No complaints. But I got it solely for this purpose, I haven’t been back on it again, and I researched what I was wanting to get, so nothing was surprising.

It worked well for it’s intended purpose, but they bombard you with sales and stuff to get you to spend more. It’s definitely a trap system

  • Homie, it doesn’t matter. This is one of those most basic societal rules; don’t harm others (some exceptions like self defense, etc) and then don’t do shit with kids. You are the adult, it is entirely on you to police yourself. It seems you weren’t able to, so others have stepped in. If that’s what it takes, that’s what it takes.

  • I updated my original comment, it seems there was a hiatus to development. As of 2 days ago, he’s working on getting parity with .09. I’d say it is being developed, just not on great timelines. But I’ve had his stuff on Reddit, I’ve had it here. Fairly sure it’s just one dude. Maybe I’m too patient, or my expectations too low, but I’ve been fine with it. I think someone mentioned spoiler tags don’t work, but I’ve seen that maybe half a dozen times in a year, so it doesn’t really register to me.

Would every version change of Lemmy necessitate an update to the app, if it’s just background stuff to lemmy and federating stuff? I’m hardly an expert, but if the information is packaged in a practical way to the app, changes to lemmy versions wouldn’t necessarily require an app update unless there were changes to the protocol, I imagine? Looking at the changelog for 8 and 7 wouldn’t look like it would effect the app, or cause it to miss features.

Not to say you are wrong or me right; he was always responsive and on it with the Reddit app, so my overall experience may have me biased towards his side with less justification.
