I do think though, that TSB faith in Judges, CPS lawyers, Barristers, to accept even miniscule changes to the current status quo is misplaced. They are very entrenched in their ways and resist change.
Part of me wonders whether the sledgehammer approach is intended to shake them out of their inertia so they might accept actual pragmatic changes to the system.
This is completely at odds with my experience living in India! Does it vary between regions?

I wasn’t in court so I can’t know what evidence was put forward and I wasn’t in the jury so I can’t know what they decided. According to the article they can be re tried and the mand who attacked the woman with a hammer is still in jail awaiting trial so there is hope of justice yet.
I would hope the guard is also subject to a rigorous investigation and charged if an offence has been committed.
You seem very extreme in your views, perhaps you should take an internet break to find yourself a sense of perspective.

I live within 3 miles of a branch of all of the major supermarkets in the UK except Waitrose.
The only time I can possibly go shopping is after 7pm and even if I go in with a list of stuff and stick to it the round trip is 2 hours because of the checkout queues, car park queues and crowded shops.
I don’t know if you have ever been to a supermarket after 7pm but good luck finding any fresh fruit and veg that hasn’t been squashed to a pulp.
The only reliable shop near me is a particularly well stocked Morrisons Express but it’s cheaper and easier to shop from Ocado.

I can confirm the ocado beans are very good but I suspect they are actually the same as m&s. I can’t tell the difference.
