It doesn’t matter if you guys somehow manage to get adults back in charge in the next 2-4 years. There is nothing stopping another Trump-esque person from being elected again soon after and tearing everything down again. Until you guys purge MAGA and can prove you are in no danger of a relapse, we simply can’t trust you.
I think so too. The doctors didn’t even mention the possibility when my son was born, and if we had wanted it we would have had to specifically ask.
It was very common in Canada too. My parents decided to break the cycle with me, but I was the only uncircumcised guy in the locker room growing up in the 90s.
Honestly, I always liked getting up early on weekends (at least before I had kids). Those hours been 7 and 10 were mine in a way that my other free time wasn’t. Because everyone else wanted to sleep in, I had no social obligations and thus could do whatever I wanted. There was a certain joy to having all my weekend chores done early. Or, if I didn’t want to do chores, I could just relax and not worry about trying to align with anyone else’s schedule.
It’s stereotypical, but I want to continue getting fit.
After decades is putting it off, I finally felt inspired to start exercising regularly back in September. I’m going to try to keep that up, and I know it’s going to be hard because we’ll be welcoming a child into the world early in the new year.
I guess another resolution would be, “try not to lose my sanity dealing with a newborn and toddler at the same time.”
There is no reason to believe that Noah’s family were the only innocents in the Flood story. I do not know how one can pin the supposed hedonism of the world on all those young children who would have drowned.
There is also no way to excuse killing the children of thousands of people because of the actions of one man. Blaming that one man for “forcing” supposedly omnipotent being to act in that way is also unjustifiable.
And there is no way to shift blame for genocide by simply saying, “the underlings took it too far.” This excuse rings especially hollow when Jehovah asks for a cut of the spoils afterward (Numbers 31:25-31).
Well, there’s the Flood and the Ten Plagues (particularly that tenth one) for starters.
Then there’s the various war crimes committed by the Israelites at Jehovah’s explicit instructions (e.g. the genocide of the Midianites in Numbers 31).
