Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why are most religious people so easy to manipulate? (serious)
71·5 months agoWhy are most
religiouspeople so easy to manipulate?Targeted Propaganda creates an online echo-chamber where everyone thinks that they’re correct for obvious -to them- reasons (Selective reporting, lying by omission, no one reads the retraction etc.). Add to that the addictive and isolating nature of smart technology, the sense of community they find in their personal traits/hobbies/beliefs/interests and the fact that the rich are actively trying to destroy the middle and working class. That’s how you get someone from group X, who believes they are wholly correct and smart enough to not be manipulated by media, asking why group Y is so easy to manipulate. It’s not about characteristics of faith, or anything like that. It’s the people at the top, telling you it’s other members of your class dragging you down. Through the global media monopolies that they control. We’re all part of it.

Vanity FairPlease stop, the term “photoshopped” is colloquially the same as saying “fake image.”
This is a hard copy photograph from 30 years ago. It gets scanned, copied, rescanned and disseminated. Editing the contrast, or colour saturation to make the image more readable is not the same as creating a false image and your statement here provides nothing but an out to allow conspiratorially minded people to ignore the actual glaringly obvious conspiracy of Trump Model Management and Jeffrey Epstein to traffic underage girls and young women for their own financial gain and sexual proclivities.
We have dozens of copies of this image obtained by international media all over the world. Making a degraded picture more intelligible is an act of exposing this, not obfuscating it over and over by creating more baseless claims to muddy the waters and slow down the public awareness and outcry. You do NOT reinforce the narrative of cults. Also, you can overlay these images over one another 1-for-1. The scale is not off, you are just a liar working under the pretense of “Just asking questions.”
Not that it’s important, they we’re definitely very close, sexual assailants, and trafficking girls via Mara Lago… BUT it’s still interesting this particular image is a product of Photoshop editing.
Tow the party line elsewhere.

4·5 months agoYeah, but the Taliban are at least not so nationalistic that they can recognise the usefulness of the engineering chops of manufacturers like Toyota. Say what you want, 10 years from now those Toyota Tundras in the desert will still be running. It’s a crapshoot with the Ford F-150s.

2·5 months agoThat’s pretty cool man, respect that. Yeah, I get that 100%. Video Reviews can be pretty formulaic as well, good for stabilising an income if you can cultivate the audience. But, then it’s not something for you.
Because some of the games that I have played, I think there’s no denying that they’re bad games. I still like them though.
I suppose Ross from Accursed Farms does reviews that fit that category. Anyway, glad to see someone commit to something they care about and produce something of value consistently. Be proud of it.

7·5 months agoAre you just grabbing screens and reviewing stuff from your collection? Because that’s a lot of gaming, like I have played thousands of games over the last 27 years. But, I can’t game and write with that kind of dedication. Really respectable. Have you considered, cataloguing these and getting a blog? Or turning them into Youtube reviews? You gotta lot of material to work with here, all the hard work is done.

1·5 months agoThat is absolutely not true and just part of the red-pills psyop to radicalise young men, who don’t actually understand what the welfare state is, or why it’s important. Kindly go listen to Joe Rogan on your next jog off a cliff.
I don’t mean that in a shitty way either. Low End Theory by Tribe Called Quest, Black on Both Sides by Mos Def and Madvillainy by Madvillain. Spin them start to finish with a decent set of headphones. Good Shit.
Listen to more music, bro.
