The 2nd Amendment is a single sentence and the first four words, “a well regulated militia”, are the subject. This is grammar. Unless you think the authors were bad at grammar, there’s not much to misinterpret.

Neither scenario touches the torture I endure the morning after pepper-heavy, spicy Mexican food.

Ah. Of, or pertaining to, the experience following consumption of milk-based products for those who are intolerant to lactose.
Worth a try. Highly capable. It’s my default.
I don’t have to use a perl script to view the contents of a file?
open(my $fh, ‘<’, ‘filename.txt’) or die “Could not open file: $!”; while (my $line = <$fh>) { print $line; } close($fh);
Sick!
What’s you home lab ecosystem? My years in the Unix/Linux CLI world make it my preferred laptop (especially with homebrew).
Okay I’m going to put this out there. I’ve never birthed a child but I can be certain that the birthing process doesn’t hold a candle to the monkey claw I experience after eating a bean burrito loaded with jalapenos and mole. I don’t think even an epidural could ameliorate that level of dire suffering.

Ah the scenarios we are forced to imagine with back to office mandates. I’ll go with Dayzie because we have similar ideologies about deodorant and I can’t wait for someone to complain to Susan so I can be oppositionally defiant.

“But he thought he could and met with unanticipated partisan resistance”, you say.
Really? You surround yourself with the smartest, Ivy League educated staff and cabinet picks and none of them anticipated that and/ or alerted you to the eventual legal and political roadblocks.
Not buying it. Almost impossible that this outcome was not predicted.
Add the reversal of bodily autonomy, the expiration of the child tax credit and a host of quality of life downgrades and you’re losing voters.

Alph4d0g@discuss.tchncs.deto Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Lemmy.World ToS and the murder of the UHC CEO1·7 months agoPeople in the US have justifiable revulsion to its rapacious healthcare system leading to outright un-aliving of a large segment of the population. One might argue that it’s a silent genocide of the underprivileged. This incident has highlighted that sentiment in a way that may effect real change and in a way his untimely demise may lead to positive health outcomes. Suppressing the expression of that anger could have the opposite outcome.
Yet another reason why I work remotely.
