Edi Rama said the idea of the UK wanting to “look for places to dump immigrants” would have been inconceivable a decade ago.
“Eighty per cent of the things that are said, or are written, or are accepted as a normal part of the discourse in today’s Britain are things that [before Brexit] would have been totally unacceptable, totally ridiculous, totally shameful,” he said
I am shocked and disgusted by how this even came to be proposed - to deport would-be immigrants to a third country the government has a contract with - and how it is being discussed as a legitimate option in several countries now. Packaged as “The Rwanda Model” so nobody has to think about what that really means.
I believe it’s a growing - and not quite yet acknowledged - fear of climate change migration, which is bound to grow a lot in coming years. I am not afraid of that aspect of the climate catastrophe though, just like I never believed in immigrants being a problem.
Has he forgotten that him and meloni signed the same migrant deal
Have you forgot to read the article before you comment on it? He explains his view of Albania Italy deal in it…
Explains how exactly, other than italy and albania have a ‘very special relationship’
Good, so now you read it… now you see, he didnt forget about it. About his reasoning, i do not agree with him.
