I am feeling a little lethargic. I just finished my presentation yesterday and I have so many other things that I really need to do but…I still haven’t quite gotten back the energy to do them. Many of these range from another important project that I need to write and FOMO from a online gaming tournament that I need to grind for.

But overall, I think I should recover my energy and desire tomorrow…at least that’s how I am planning about it.

Basically, I need a VPN, but I can’t really afford one at the moment

i got an onion video in my feed about 2026 usa election. they were taking about abdul el-sayed, but i am out of the loop, so i thought it was a photoshopped zelenskyy, and was idly wondering what was happening now. i thought it had something mildly to do with a color revolution for some reason (i thought of regime changes in west asia maybe? that’s why it was a photoshopped zelenskyy) and a parody of it (which didn’t gel otherwise with the title, but i just felt like i was maybe oblivious). turns out el-sayed’s real, actually, and a senator-elect as of right now.

unrelated, but what the hell really is the electoral college? wouldn’t they remove such a glaring embarrassment that’s recognized even by those still enamored by ‘liberal democracy’ within capitalism?

The party that started the genocide in Gaza and the war in ukraine lost to the party that continued the genocide in Gaza, the war in ukraine and started a war with Iran.

the democrats don’t even pretend they want to please or serve the people anymore. the imagined monopoly capitalism has on their future means they can set any price, and the people think they only have two choices: killing everyone else in the world with the .3% chance THIS time the dems will enshrine roe v. wade, and killing everyone else in the world while the president uses chatGPT to make really funny images of him actively shitting on the people

The youtube algorithm was trying to push a liberal segment on me. One of those last week tonight things with John Oliver, something about the republican party and “worrying trends” that it’s becoming more nazi-like / supporting of nazism.

I was like, I’ll try it for research to see what the liberals are saying. Couldn’t get through it. For starters, as to be expected from liberals, the rhetoric is incredibly weak. John Oliver saying stuff like “it’s worrying” and “it seems like” while pulling out some examples at random of republicans doing or saying nazi-like stuff or being supportive of them. Then he pulls out this clip of Lindsay Graham saying words to the effect that he’s not in support of the nazi stuff coming out of the republican party, the same Lindsay Graham who supported NATO-Ukraine, a hub for neo-nazis and barbaric mercenaries (I know, bit redundant labeling there). But of course he doesn’t include that part at all, he gives credit to Lindsay Graham. Then he does the classic liberal maneuver of showing part of a clip of a Nick Fuentes / Tucker Carlson interview (giving airtime to the worst people to “debate them in the marketplace of ideas”), but to make matters worse, he doesn’t even do a good job of dissecting what is said in the interview. Then, and this is the part where I couldn’t bear any more, he throws in this thing about how Fuentes supposedly claimed to like Stalin in the interview and then does a liberal anti-communist jab about Stalin.

Like good god man, the thesis of your segment is that nazism is getting worse in the republican party and you aren’t even politically literate enough to recognize Stalin as a historical opponent of nazis; or worse, you do know and are pretending not to know in order to muddy the waters.

I don’t know how I ever watched this trash TV in the past. Liberals are maliciously bad at countering fascism.

Liberals don’t exist. There are crypto-fascists and there are politically/historically illiterate people who live in a fairy tale world divorced from material reality. Oliver is a crypto-fascist as is every other liberal pundit of note.

Is it just me or does Soviet History feel a lot more opaque and harder to learn about, and have a lot more just straight up propaganda, than even PRC history?

        Its hard to say exactly.

But like, take maybe Nikolai Yezhov vs Lin Biao. Like if you look up stuff about Lin Biao, you’ll get the general story, the general explanation of the gang of four and his opportunism, and conflicting reports and what happened when he died. But its not impossible to find a fairly balanced story about what happened, and with a fair amount of sources of internal happenings

But then for Yezhov, basically the only stuff you’ll find is the western story on the matter, with the general propaganda about him. And then even trying to dig deeper involves digging through a lot more layers of propaganda to get information.

Another thing is the government of the ussr vs the government of the prc. Looking up how the prc works is fairly straightforward, and beyond the usual anticom stuff you can get a decent idea on the matter. But for the USSR, especially during the Stalin era, it very much feels like the answer is handwaved away as “stalin did everything” which is objectively impossible but whatever.

Looks like it. The main reason why a lot of people were confused or in denial about it at first is because Vucic’s government was already semi-comprador, very much in bed with the West in a lot of ways and not remotely anti-imperialist. It does not appear to make sense that a mostly compliant right-wing neoliberal would need to be color revolutioned.

So why was it necessary to do this? Because the EU can never accept even the smallest amount of deviation or hedging. We saw this in Hungary. We saw it in Romania. Brussels needs one hundred percent control and anything less is unacceptable. They are desperate to “complete the European project”. They can feel the clock ticking on the EU and they think that if they can just keep expanding it until they have absorbed every single country in Europe, centralize all power to Brussels and turn the EU into a Federation this will somehow save the project from collapsing under the weight of its own contradictions.

Some people were also confused because they think that a color revolution means that the US and its regime change machinery have to be in the driver seat behind the color revolution, but they miss the fact that the EU, and especially the Germans, can act as imperialists in their own right, often taking the lead on regime change operations within Europe.

People forget that Yanukovich was also a semi-comprador, and he was still couped. So Vučić was also always gonna be a target for the west.

My parents were watching the news a bit ago, and there was a segment on Ukraine.

Supposedly Russia bombed a school-turned warehouse used by a humanitarian organisation.

    Source? What source?

If anyone is able to find an actual source on this, let me know. Especially on the Humanitarian organisation front.
