Perhaps that is the case but regardless if its true or not; I choose to form my own opinions rather than look up to internet personalities to make my decisions for me.
I’m independent so while I agree with his opinions, I could care less about a celebrity’s political stance, especially when they have the audience and financials to get what they want from this financially corrupt government.
Listening to other informed people can absolutely be part of forming your own opinion though, no? Hasan has a political science degree, is actively involved in campaigns, and regularly fundraises for leftist candidates, and has been an active political commentator for years. Trying to discredit all that with the dog thing (which has been debunked over and over at this point) and by merely referring to him as a “celebrity” just feels disingenuous. Like, you even admit that you agree with him, and that he has an audience - isn’t it a good thing then for him to share opinions you agree with with said audience?
IDK. I feel like a lot of the left does this sort of thing, where they dismiss or actively denounce other leftists just because they aren’t the “right kind” of leftist. At some point we need to realize that we’re stronger together (especially we already agree with each other!), instead of tearing each other down.
It doesn’t matter who he is or what he’s done, the article should have the merit to stand without needing celebrity endorsement period.
A millionaire celebrity that I coincidentally agree with on a specific topic isn’t proof that he’s well informed nor is he an arbiter of moral justice since he has a elective degree or because he donates. We need to work together on solving the problems instead of looking up at people that profit from talking about them.
We are our own people and we make our own opinions. It is good to question people’s credibility, or in your words, “denounce” others so that we can collectively become more informed.
What article? The post is just a clip from his stream.
You’re right though, agreeing with someone isn’t proof that they’re well informed. No one’s claiming he’s the arbiter of moral justice though. It feels like you’re being overly dismissive because you don’t seem to be aware of how informed and qualified he actually is, because you think he’s too rich to be your ally or something.

Yeah Hasan would probably agree with this too, considering all the boots-on-the ground campaigning, door knocking, and other types of activism he does and helps organize.
And sure, denounce was the wrong word. My bad. I should have said “dismiss”, because that’s more accurate as to what you’re doing. You’re right that it’s good to question others, but it’s also good to recognize when you’re being dismissive of people that are genuinely good sources of information and leadership.
Are you willfully spreading misinformation, or are you just uninformed
