🇺🇸🇮🇱🇮🇷⚡️ — The Pentagon has instructed U.S. Central Command to finalize preparations for a possible resumption of major combat operations against Iran, according to Axios, citing U.S. officials.
No date has been set, and President Trump has not made a final decision. However, U.S. and Israeli sources say renewed strikes could begin before the November 3 U.S. midterms, potentially even before Israel’s elections a week earlier.
Any renewed campaign is expected to involve large-scale U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iranian energy facilities, infrastructure and nuclear sites, with both militaries likely participating.
🇸🇾🇸🇦🇾🇪— Syrian officials explicitly deny that a request was made by Saudi Arabia for support in Yemen, and have affirmed that Syria will stay out of the conflict.
Your assessment?
I don’t think Jolani can afford to send anyone over. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to get one if te various Takfeeri groups to take on the job. It’d be a way to get rid of a potential threat to his power (considering how unstable these groups are) without immediately weakening HTS itself.
Though, even then, I doubt he’d do it because those groups are probably going to come back when the Saudis inevitably concede to Ansarallah. Plus, they are essentially the only ones experienced enough to fight the axis of resistance if it comes to it, and even that’s a stretch.
I think the Saudis probably relayed a message, and eitheir a few terrorist groups were sent over while Jolani denies the current Syrian security forces (HTS) involvement, or no one was sent but Jolani doesn’t want to make the Saudis look bad.

🇸🇾🇸🇦⚔️🇾🇪 Syria considering sending troops to Yemen to fight Ansar Allah
Saudi Arabia and Syria are discussing the deployment of Syrian troops to Yemen to join the offensive against Ansar Allah, Axios reports, citing three US officials.
➡️Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, a.k.a. Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, the former leader of al-Qaeda’s Syrian branch, is said to be seriously considering it but has not decided
➡️The issue came up during his meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh earlier this week
➡️Syria could send 10,000 to 20,000 fighters, according to a source familiar with the talks
➡️The force could include the same foreign terrorist head-choppers who were unleashed on Syria during the war against former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad
➡️Washington does not oppose the idea, and US Central Command has been consulted on how the troops could be deployed
Riyadh wants the Syrians to reinforce the mercenaries of Yemen’s Saudi-controlled puppet government, which are less trained than Ansar Allah.
The White House, US Central Command, the Saudi embassy and Syria’s foreign ministry did not comment to Axios.

❗️Turkiye providing Saudi Arabia with ‘defensive’ support in light of Ansarallah attacks
Expand
Turkiye is providing Saudi Arabia with mainly defensive military equipment, intelligence sharing, and technical support as Riyadh faces attacks from Yemen’s Armed Forces, two officials told Reuters. The support comes after Turkiye, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia agreed to implement their newly formed collective defense alliance.
The three countries signed the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement in August, under which an armed attack on one member is considered an attack on all. On Monday, they said they would move immediately to implement the pact and ensure the “rapid deployment” of military forces and capabilities in Saudi Arabia.
A Turkish official said no other form of Turkish military deployment had taken place under the alliance so far. Ankara has condemned Ansarallah’s attacks on Saudi Arabia, offered to meet Riyadh’s technical military needs, and agreed to join a Saudi-led coalition aimed at ensuring navigation in the Red Sea.
❗️Iran vows continued support for Hamas and Hezbollah as it marks 7 October anniversary
Expand
Iran will continue supporting what it calls the “resistance front,” Major-General Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said in a message marking the third anniversary of the 7 October 2023 operation, according to IRIB.
Abdollahi said the operation “upset the calculations of the resistance front’s enemies” and shifted its strategy toward what he described as the “legitimate defence of the Palestinian people.”
He also said the actions of slain resistance leaders including Qassem Soleimani, Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah, Hamas’ Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar would “determine the end of the occupying regime.”
He added that the policies of former Islamic Republic Leader Ali Khamenei and his successor, Mojtaba Khamenei, toward Palestine and the resistance front would continue “until the liberation of holy Jerusalem.”
❗️Oil flows through Strait of Hormuz plunge 60 percent as Iran says waterway remains under its control
Oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz have fallen by 60 percent over the past two days to around 3.8 million barrels per day, Iranian media reported, compared with a weekly average of approximately 9.3 million barrels per day, according to Tasnim news agency.
The reported decline comes as an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) adviser said the strait is “fully controlled” by Iran and will remain closed until the US accepts Tehran’s demands.
The adviser said the volume of oil currently being smuggled through the waterway is “very small.”
