For some reason, I get self-conscious reading through my post history. But if it’s a post I very recently made or haven’t published yet? I will compulsively reread to check for issues so I can edit or, if it’s an occasion where I think I did an especially good job, enjoy how it reads.

The writer/editor brain in me (or maybe it’s perfectionism) has a hard time simply writing something and hitting send. More so in a forum format, where miscommunications can drag out and take longer to correct; there’s nothing quite like the feeling of posting something and coming back hours later to a stream of hatred to make one second-guess phrasing. I’m probably most thinking of twitter in that regard…
