Obama recently said that Democrats need to make artificial intelligence one of their “central agendas” and “have a very clear plan” to address concerns around the technology’s economic impact and safety.
If these safeguards are anything like their other safeguards, their plan will be to wait for something bad to happen and then publicly comment that “this bad thing shouldn’t be happening” before going back to waiting for the next bad thing to happen.
