Some of us can’t afford divorce. We were super close to divorce recently and the hardest part of it all is logistics and time. We have no money, like none no credit no cash, and a house that we almost lost but declared bankrupcy so it was saved for now. We have 2 kids as well. So basically we would have to sell the house to split the income before we move somewhere, but we can’t sell either because we need to fix a lot of things that cost money. So were literally stuck at this time and we couldnt even afford a night at a hotel if we wanted. Thankfully we settled our differences and our disagreements over finances and are actually doing ok so we didnt have to go through with it. If we did it would have been borrowing money from relatives to fix the house and then sell it, but even that seems stressful because how do you line up another place like an apartment when you dont have down payment until the house is sold and you have no idea when thst would even be.
